The painting affect seems a little over done , just my opinion. The original is a great photo by the way!

Thank You for your time and reply!

The original looks good to me. It's nice to be creative if used sparingly.

Thank you jaymatt for your time and reply. I agree with you but the funny thing is people love the water color look and are purchasing copy's of this and another that I just shot of a deli that is being turned into a post card.

I use that look at times but only for my own benefit. It only works in rare cases in my opinion. This one seems a little overdone. Perhaps toning it down would help.

Thank you for your time and reply, I agree with the overdone I think this has some potential I already had 3 of my clients asked me to shoot there property and add this effect.

Interesting, I've tried some of that myself, sometimes I like the effect.

Hey Bob I understand what your saying, I was at a boat show and there was a guy selling nautical photos with the same look and had a line out the door! I agree its not for every shot but it could work for some.

It’s a beautiful scene but I prefer it the way it is in nature!

Drive past this once a week and just had to stop. Back at my office I decided to try some software to give it the paint look. What do you think?

Very lovely and a tad mysterious. It provokes peace and tranquility.

Like the shot Denny. The tree really adds to the depth and composition of the photo. Nicely done.

Don't be puzzled
My subject was the horizon and keeping with rule of thirds the whole tree didn't make it because I didn't want it to. Thank for you reply and taking the time to take a look.

just had to go to one of my favorite places on the lake and shoot this sunset.
This is Lake Wallenpaupack in Northeastern Pa. This is where I live.

Beautiful capture, Denny!

I agree with you 100% I like my rule of thirds but this is as close to it as I could get to make the shot work.
