Drive past this once a week and just had to stop. Back at my office I decided to try some software to give it the paint look. What do you think?

It’s a beautiful scene but I prefer it the way it is in nature!

Interesting, I've tried some of that myself, sometimes I like the effect.

Hey Bob I understand what your saying, I was at a boat show and there was a guy selling nautical photos with the same look and had a line out the door! I agree its not for every shot but it could work for some.

I use that look at times but only for my own benefit. It only works in rare cases in my opinion. This one seems a little overdone. Perhaps toning it down would help.

The original looks good to me. It's nice to be creative if used sparingly.

The first photo is beautiful; sorry, but the second one does nothing for me.

Thank you jaymatt for your time and reply. I agree with you but the funny thing is people love the water color look and are purchasing copy's of this and another that I just shot of a deli that is being turned into a post card.

The painting affect seems a little over done , just my opinion. The original is a great photo by the way!
