I just tried to order something from B&H. Their site told me they don't accept online orders till 7PM on Saturday. I understand the reason: they are Jewish and observing their Sabboth. While I agree that in the U.S. they are welcome to do so I am also welcome to not have them impose their religious beliefs on me. So I'll never try to order from them again. I won't have my wife wear a burrkah either.

This is just for information. I fully expect everyone in the U.S. to be free to make their own decisions on this type of thing.

That's why your a mtn man. You're an i***t. They are open 6 days a week for business and close for 1 day and it is for observance of their belief. Who the hell are you to take offense to their policies. Almost all stores close 1 day a week.

Wait your not an i***t you're a freakin' moron and an anti-semite and I am Jewish.

You would think that Canon would have a semi-pro camera body that most people would agree would be a solid platform that one could enhance their skills with and grow with them for years. This is just a hobby for me and I have a hard time justifying a $3500 camera body. Yes it would be nice to have the latest and greatest equipment but I am sure that most professionals as well as hobbyists would agree that photography is not a cheap endevor. If any 6D or 5D Mk II owners would like to comment on their cameras auto focusing capabilities it would be more than welcome. I am just looking for a good solid full frame camera body in the canon line as I do have a considerable investment in Canon glass. Image quality is a high priority for me and have no interest in shooting video, so video quality on the 6D is not a concern. Are not hobbies supposed to relieve stress?...lol

Thanks Tainkc, that was the response I was looking for. Truly appreciate it. Too much invested in Canon to even consider another make. Cannot afford to support two companies.....lol

Thank you everyone for taking the time to comment and give your two pennies worth as I really appreciate it. Photography is all about attention to detail . To me no detail is too small to overlook. I was leaning towards the 6D myself as the reviews for the 5 D Mk II are just all over the place. Thanks again for all the valued input.

I'm thinking about purchasing a new full frame camera body. I've narrowed my choices down to the Canon 6D or the 5D Mk II. They are both close to the same $$$'s but unable to decide because the 6D has a slow flash sync speed of 1/180 and a shutter speed of 1/4000 compared to the 5D Mk II which has a flash sync speed of 1/200 and a shutter speed of 1/8000 of a second. How important are these values in every day photography? Also the 5 D Mk II has been reported of having a slow auto focus which from some reviews is a deal breaker. Any 5D Mk II owners like to comment? I am just a hobbyist and most of my photography is wild life,, landscapes and macro but am interested in doing lighting set ups.

Hello all, after reading this post, and the owner of a Tamron 18-270. I had to try this out for myself, using the Canon 55–250 for comparison. there is no doubt that the Canon out reached the Tamron at all focal lengths, and now the question is why? maybe, it's the new math there using, or just marketing.
