A UV will reduce reflections, haze, and Moire. Although I can not recall were I saw the picture samples, One taken without a UV filter showed stong moire, where the one taken with the UV filter showed a much reduce effect of the moire.

A new lesson learned here. I was not familar with the term Sinnet, which I could not find in two different dictionaries. Finally in a very large volume, I found Sinnet meaning the same as Sennet, which then gave me the deffinition.
I once made a monkey ball, but I would never do what you are doing with all the strands of braid.

An interesting part of history.
No, I don't know the story behind the Anchors, however after World War II 25 Escort Carriers (Baby Flattops) were mothballed at the Port Industrial Waterway in Tacoma, WA. I often wondered what happened to the carriers, but imagine they were scrapped at some point in time. I guess it is possible that some of the anchors, or all of them came from those carriers.
