Nice set! Really interesting as well!
Almost unbelievable! Keep them coming, Regis.
WHile on the boats you will have enough light to use that lens along the edge of the little rivers - you will see sloths, monkeys, and birds (macaws even!). You would not have enough light in the rainforest to want to lug it into the rainforest.
CAUTION: The Amazon is very hot and very humid. You would be well served by having your equipment in a water tight case in which you can keep silica gel such as: http://www.amazon.com/Silica-Hydrosorbent-Canisters-Desiccant-Dehumidifying/dp/B005V2B29A/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1451910443&sr=8-2&keywords=silica+gel+canisters Keep your case closed as much as possible so this doesn't get saturated by the moisture, and put your equipment in there overnight.
IF the main ship has air-conditioned cabins, bring your case out in the morning and let everything warm up before opening it. Otherwise, if you are using anything else (camera bag) put everything in big zip-lock bags and let them warm up before taking them out. This will prevent condensation which will occur on - and IN your equipment if they are cold when exposed to the heat and humidity. This can ruin your equipment.
Also - I have some videos with information about travel health at:

Q. What's the difference between a Canadian and an American?
A. A Canadian has full health care, lower per capita murder rates, doesn't feel the need to have or carry a gun, and also a better education system. These are just a few differences.
You forgot to mention that - despite all those "terrible taxes" - Canadians now have an average net worth greater than the average American.
But wait - this is supposed to be a funny thread, not a sad but true thread.... (sad for us Americans, any way).
How can you PROVE that a dog is man's best friend - and not his wife?
If you lock them both in the trunk of your car for two hours, which one will be happy to see you when you open it up?
You must have slept for a LONG time. Where did you take your film to have it developed? :)
I picked up a used Canon ring light and used it for a while, but it was heavy. I generally just use a regular flash with a diffuser. Many folks here make their own diffusers, but there are lots of good inexpensive ones ( we're talking under $20 ). It helps sometimes to be able to use the flash off-camera with a short flash cable. If you are doing table-top macro you could use a wireless flash controller with the flash (or flashes) on a small tripod which could be moved around. That would give you a lot of freedom/flexibility.
I think Airstream changed what it meant to go on the road (with a "camper" ).
That would be like stating: 'You would be really pretty if you lost weight". Certain death....
But you are totally right - with older women we forget all the sexualization stuff, and can appreciate the clear skin and bright eyes and smile. No offense to the smokers in the crowd.... but this is especially true of people who have not smoked. My wife's late grandmother who lived to be 92 with a sharp mind was a good example - she was a beautiful woman.
Whatever.
(From last year's list - and slowly going away, thank goodness!)
Saw them as a child. Perhaps some could think they were "Uncle Toms" but for most of us they were simply awesome, funny, super-talented basketball players who made us laugh. R.I.P. Meadowlark!
