Brightness 0, contrast 50, hue 0, saturation 64, sharpness 50, gamma 300, white balance 4500 , backlight comp0 gain 0 are my settings for the moon.
My star shoot ll is equivalent to a 5mm ep , as for why I used the filters . I've got 2 filters for that scope for the moon. I hadn't thought about the loss of detail, I was trying to save my eyeballs from hurting.
I'm a disabled astronomer , never thought that AP was possible only using one arm. I'm still in the learning process and I still working on getting my mount and scope perfectly aligned.SB

I've got a CPSeq80 w/ motor and a SSUEll for solar system objects. I'm thinking about long exposure photography on DSO's down the road and I only have use of one arm.

I'm really waiting for the winter festivities, a new line up of constellations to view. Astronomy magazine has the targets and where to find them for the month on their website.It should definitely be exciting, as long as the rain holds off.

I believe the answer your looking for is atmospheric dispersion, all objects above the horizon will give false colors due to this.
The planets are very difficult for me to video capture, I've yet to capture Saturn before it leaves my field of view for the year.
