I've got a CPSeq80 w/ motor and a SSUEll for solar system objects. I'm thinking about long exposure photography on DSO's down the road and I only have use of one arm.

T3i is a great camera for the money. I have the T2i and love it. The T3i will be going away soon now that there is the T4i and T5i. This will make the T3i even more affordable, but don't wait too long.
B&H currently has it at $449.(body only) I paid $800 for my T2i (body only).

It seems here in Canada the T4i is the scarce one. I have one and love the touch screen to adjust settings.

Of course we all want the best, but at this point any Rebel is a great value and should work for you.
Once you decide, and when you have time, please post some of your work. I am sure it is...out of this world!

I have the Rebel T-3 1100D and love it. Great pictures and easy to use, even manual it's a breeze. You can't go wrong for the $$$$ for a beginners crop framed sensor camera. Good luck and post some of your shots... Good luck.

The t3i was my first dslr. It fits all my needs. I replaced the kit lenses as fast as I could. If you don't use the really heavy lenses it shouldn't be hard to use it one handed. I shoot wildlife at night holding the camera with one hand and an infrared light with the other. Otherwise a tripod is the answer.

Step, actually I don't really know.
If those are telescopes(?), there is an Astro-foto section.
If you click on "Photography Forun", then on "All Forums", you will find it there. May be a good place to ask if your talking celestial bodies n stuff.
Otherwise, Canons are always good.

I agree that the tilt screen is very worthwhile, and upgraded from the t2i to get it.
