Ok what's you opinion on these
That is awesome I hope to learn a thing or two from UHH, I've just managed a dot and a blur.
Wow such clarity and color throughout. I've got an 8 in. newt astrograph f3.9@800fl what would I require for my newt. to have the better image scale ? I either get a dot or a lil' gray disc with a 2x barlow. What about a 5x powermate with a t-ring for my T510NG color digital?
Very nice Craig , I'm also trying to capture Jupiter this Winter after getting an 8 in. astrograph newt.f3.9@800mm fl I tried with a 2x barlow and got faint banding with my cmos cams, do you think I need a 3,4,or 5x to get the right image scale and increase the fl.
Those are some Stunning captures of the Lunar surface. I used to live outside of Cincinnati and most of my family still does. A lot colder up there than down here. I'm a disabled amateur astronomer astro nut that enjoys viewing and imaging all I can.
I don't think you understand what a 4 in 1 Paracorr t2 is: it's a field flattener parabola correct, focal extender, 1.54x zoom and use with dslr and ccd camertas . I found my instructions and thank you for your responses.
I'm a video AP guy, I use my mono ccd as an autoguider and my video cams do the rest of the work . I have a new sn astrograph 8 in. on an lxd55 mount and I'm wanting to use my Paracorr t2 to image with. I've only used it for visual and want to start using it to image with. HELP? I don't have my autoguiding setup complete but, I'm getting close.
Very nicely detailed, good job.
Has anyone used a Paracorr t2 for AP, I need help imaging Jupiter?
This is my 2nd attempt at imaging Jupiter
azstarman, thanx for your reply , I'm familiar with reg 6 and it's my bad these were all snapshots to get the settings just set before I went to video mode but, I couldn't seem to get it just right this night. I 'm unable to use a filter with this camera or barlow because the software compensates for that. I've always had problems with the full phase. I keep on trying to overcome this and one night , I will.
I'll use both and find which offers the better result and ease of use. I've got DSS and reg6 freeware already trying to get a grasp on it and APT the demo version "free" and it looks like a keeper. All this is going to take a lot of time to get anything worthy of being quality , unless I get lucky. I've got good friends in various communities that will offer their input and guidance along with UHH . I have no worries about getting there Craig , in time everything will fall into place with ya'lls help.
Craig, I need to clarify a bit. I do mostly video astronomy with said video cameras, although I'm heading into uncharted waters with my Meade pictor CCD camera. It's going in my lil' refractor 80 for auto guiding my 8 in. Astrograph that's being shipped from Orion. I'm getting into Deep Space long exposure AP with my T510NG color digital. I will still continue video AP , I find it so rewarding and hope one day to send my grandson images of DSO's. It's just going to take a couple years to get everything required to do it with a quality result.
Dl, You're sure letting those skills shine. Very nice and detailed lunar as for the other images . I'll get there someday, I'm taking it all in "one bit at a time".
Thanx Craig, I'm trying to get a hold of Astrogene to get the 909 clone to st4 kit and get this going.I have to still wait on my Bday xmas present , the first place I ordered "they spun me for a week. It's on it's way now ,if it would ever leave Cali, I really like this forum.
Since sept. I've been able to improve my quality of pics greatly with the manual Z10 reflector. I'm going to put my 80eq refractor on my new addition 8 in. astrograph newt and use it as my auto guide scope with either my 1/4 in.chip SSUE ll or Meade Pictor CCD or 1/2.5 in. chip Levenhuk T510NG color digital cam st4 adaptor plugged into my autostar . What yall think? Do ya think it'll work?
