I'm a video AP guy, I use my mono ccd as an autoguider and my video cams do the rest of the work . I have a new sn astrograph 8 in. on an lxd55 mount and I'm wanting to use my Paracorr t2 to image with. I've only used it for visual and want to start using it to image with. HELP? I don't have my autoguiding setup complete but, I'm getting close.

I could be wrong but when I purchased my paracorr it was with the understanding that it would correct the coma aberrations typical in the faster newtonians. With not being familiar of your current setup I would advise that it not being used at all in your current configuration. When viewing or imaging planets I would not think coma on the edges of the field to be a consideration or something I would risk affecting the IQ of your main subject.

Just keep your target in the center of your mirror and dont concern yourself with the edges of the field at least when imaging planets that is.

I don't think you understand what a 4 in 1 Paracorr t2 is: it's a field flattener parabola correct, focal extender, 1.54x zoom and use with dslr and ccd camertas . I found my instructions and thank you for your responses.

Oh I understand what it i, and also its practical uses and for planetary imaging the barlow effect it gives you is the only practical benefit it has to offer. I will still hold my original opinion, it is not needed, when imaging planets. Field curvature and coma are issues I worry about when attempting wide field imaging, these are not important concerns when imaging single small planets such as jupiter.

I also did not notice a question as to the issue you were having other than a vague call for assistance. I am glad you figured out what the problem was.

I look forward to seeing your results,
Matthew

Matthew, Thank you for letting me know that about planetary. I was wanting to stack a 2x ed barlow then the CMOS just to get the image scale where I could see if it was focused well enough. Check out my snaps while shooting video and I checked store the originals on the post. You may see if you canm do anything with them.
