bcheary, you need to get out more. Employment is at pre Bush crash levels, the Federal defect is smaller than it has ever been, and in California, employment thanks to heavy commercial construction, is booming.

You need to be treated for Obama Derangement Syndrome.

Grenade,

you need to understand and analyze data better!
1)The real unemployment rate, if calculated the way it was 12 years ago, would be well over 12%! The participation rate is in the gutter and almost all new jobs either include name tags or are part time.

2)Your comment on the Federal deficit is just plain, grossly, incorrect.

You need to be treated for Obama Lemming Syndrome.

Oh, I feel so sorry for the poor little bankers.
Hey listen, you hold up a gas station for a hundred bucks and you go to prison. You steal billions and collapse the world economy and your company gets a fine while you get a bonus and drive away in your Maybach to your beach house.
I'd like to see the bankers themselves doing 25 to life but I'll take this as a step in the right direction.

Frankie, baby! Quit hiding! Your cave t.v. Must only get MSNBC or something as your seem to buy the uber-liberal lines hook, line, & sinker.

The banking collapse? Yes, some of the blame goes to SOME bankers, but the bulk of it goes elsewhere:

>to our politicians (Dodd, Frank head the list, but add Carter, & Clinton for,the Community Reinvestment Acts and Bush II for encouraging mortgage ownership)
>to our idiot neighbors and fellow citizens who gambled in the investment realm of home ownership! flipping! second mortgages for vacations and third cars, etc. Really........like someone making $50k a year didn't understand they couldn't afford a $500k home??? Really?
>to government agencies (indirectly our politicians) for using corruption, fascism, and graft to force bankers into making loans to those that couldn't afford them in areas where the prices couldn't hold OR risk losing their charters.

Finance is a very complex area, and politicians and the gov try to oversimplify it into few (often just one) moving part, and that is both moronic and dangerous.

Hamas (or Mossad) rockets are unguided and cause little damage. They are extremely inaccurate.

That is why only one Israeli has been killed and he was close to the Gazan border bringing food to the troops.

Over 200 Palestinians have been killed. 75% of those killed have been civilians including 30 children.

Oh, I get it! As long as someone tries to rob you with, say, a baseball bat, and as long as they are smaller than you, you will just let them beat you with the bag (after all,it's primitive) kill you and rob you?

I also support the Jewish 110%, But when it comes to the support of Israel's treatment of the Palestinians my support for Israel falls of sharply. Apartheid should be tolerated by no one.

Neither should attempted murder and genocide, which is exactly what Hamas (I.e. Palestine) has been doing.

You all seem to agree. Kill them all, even the mice. You don't seem to value life very much.

ButÂ… I wonder, are you against a woman's right to kill the baby within?

Yes, I know I'll be accused of trying to derail your blood fest but I am curious about your position on abortion. I just wonder if you are consistent in your dislike for life.

It depends.......are the babies trying to kill me, my family, all my friends, and all the people I don't even know????

The journal Science discusses the lush temps there about 4-500,000 or so yrs ago. As you already posted, the Vikings did farming in the S(?) section in the 900s or so.

My only point is that climate changes, always has, always will. Our current global political mess is so fixated on every side screaming they are right that few if any are performing real science. The arguments appear to me to be based solely on carbon and destroying first world industrial nations. That's why I am impressed by the two items I posted for you.

Under the aegis of outside-the-box ways to address CM, etc, check out the azolla fern.

Current political dogma, worldwide, gets in the way of absolute and true innovation, such as this work and that done at LanzaTech.

Yes, and it was ALSO quite lush, and a lot of farming, etc., was done there. Then it got cold.

Just more anecdotal proof that weather changes, and always has.

Remember---- there's a reason it's called "Greenland"! Read some Julian Simon and Bjorn Lomborg for some views. On both the "other side of the argument" and the Real effect, financially and otherwise, of the current argument.

Keep in mind that the North Pole is located in the middle of the Arctic Ocean amid waters that are almost permanently covered with constantly shifting sea ice. If it melts, it has little to no effect on water levels, as water displacement has already been accounted for.

This is another one of the scare tactic myths from the bad science crowd....the melting North Pole will raise water levels on the U.S.east coast by 16 feet! Right.
