"The United States, the European Union, China and 11 other governments began trade negotiations this week to eliminate tariffs on solar panels, wind turbines, water-treatment equipment and other environmental goods. If they are able to reach an agreement, it could reduce the cost of equipment needed to address climate change and help increase American exports."

I'll cross my fingers but- I doubt the Chinese will ever go for it.

The Chinese are like House Republicans, they're for change as long as it is their way.

You are probably right on that one, but the Chinese are of late trying to play front and center and are eager to be more recognized on the world stage.

Good Grief!!! At least the House folks are not like the Senate Leader Reid. He won't bring ANYTHING that does not suit him to the floor for a vote up or down nor will he send a bill to committee either!
Now, let's talk about "change"! whew!

I guess that does make the Republicans look badly. It takes 233 of them in the house to stall legislation while the Democrats only need one guy, Reid, to bring everything to a halt.

"Climate change," or whatever it's being called today, has been occurring for thousands and thousands of years, and we aren't going to stop it. It's all political posturing.

You are a fool if you think the 400ppm c02 spike is natural.

Well, I think whatever it is called, the new trend of windmills and solar and maybe tidal are much, much, much better for human health than combustion of coal and oil.

So, I feel confident that we will ultimately replace those harmful energy sources for ones that are less harmful to man, political or not. Replacement of bad for good "has been concurring for thousands and thousands of years, and we aren't going to stop it" now or in the future, politics or not.

Get with it world and work together on this thing!!!

The spike in CO2 levels is due to the hot air on this forum. Politics - not climate change - is the problem.
