Awesome catches, Jim! Thumbs up!!
Awesome, Mike! Quick tip: Next trip out, take a mister bottle of water to spray on the flowers to give the appearance of dew or rain on them. Think you’ll like the results! Keep clicking and posting!!
Awesome, Mike! Tip: Try carrying a mister bottle of water when you go walking. When you see a flower, spray the flower before taking the picture—makes the flowers look fresh and like they have the morning dew on them. I think you’ll like the result!
We lived in Rome in the early 80’s ( I was in the USAF assigned to the American Embassy) and went through the Embassy a couple of times a year as a private citizen but there were no charges. The only expense was buying trinkets, guide books/maps from the Nun’s gift shop or the vendors outside. Not being rich, I doubt I’d spend that much for the tour but $125 I could see spending. We bought a cheap tour book and maps for our many trips through the Vatican which we still have. It’s all relative I guess, whether it’s important enough to you. Side note to anyone going—climbing the many stairs to the Whispering Gallery is well worth it. You can whisper something and the acoustics are so sharp and refined, anyone on the other side of the gallery can hear plainly what you whispered. Awesome but be careful what you say! The walls have ears!!
Made this Photo using iPhone 7+’s Live Photo, Long Exposure feature. I love using this simple feature anytime I see running water. Not everyone’s cup of tea but I like the cloudy effect.
This old fellow had been around for years and still has great coloring. Made this photo from a bridge on a cool cloudy day with my iPhone 7+. Used the I-phone editing tool in post editing.
Well stated, Wingpilot! Thank you!

I am a proud I-phonologist. I have a hand-me-down iPhone 7+ and am quite pleased with how it makes photos. All pictures I post are made with this iPhone and according to me and reviewers’ comments, they’re pretty good! Yes, I would love to have a camera with all the bells and whistles but I also enjoy golf as a hobby, which can be quite expensive. I subscribe to free iPhone tips on photo making and enhance photos using both post editing tools on the iPhone and several free and a couple of paid editing tools from the Apple App Store, depending on my “artsy” mood. I love to share them and value critiques and suggestions as do most subscribers to Ugly HH. Do what pleases yourself, looking for the beauty in everything and the “I wonder what it would look like if I...” approach to experiment with different looks, scenes, and post editing. And be Snappy Happy!!
I captured this beauty last year. I used HDR filter in Snapseed to make the sunsets a little more dramatic.
I love the details of a coneflower! Kinda makes you buggy eyed!

Excellent shot!
Thanks, CWilson and everyone for your comments!
When I made the photo of the mushrooms, I couldn’t get a good shot at the stems thus why the photo only shows the tops.
