phv and Dennis,
If either or both of you would be interested in going to take some photos, would enjoy meeting you. Have either of you heard of Harmony Headlands trail near Harmony, CA, or Knapp's Castle on E. Camino Cielo, off Hwy 154. Also great photo ops I wanted to mention.
By the way, thanks for protecting us as a law officer. Much appreciate our protectors in uniform!
I work part time(at the moment very part time) in the nursery department of an Ace hardware store in Nipomo. So have several days off a week I could meet. I did just start an 8 week Community Ed. Photo class at Hancock College on Thursday afternoons.

That sounds like fun.
Also to let you know, just south of Harmony, Ca, on the south bound side of Hwy. 1, there is a trail called the Hamony Headlands trail through canyons out to the coast(about two miles one way to the coast, then trail continues on). Easy, wife dirt road trail, a little incline, but not arduous, benches about every quarter of the way. I have just heard that wildflowers are popping up there now. I want to get out there again soon. In fact yesterday I was thinking, I want to go to Harmony Headlands and Figueroa Mtn., Which way do I head first?LOL

Yes I agree, it is a gorgeous photo, however you choose to display it. I do think it would be wonderful as a metal print, and the colors would just pop!
I have started a folder in my photos file of "potential metal Prints" myself, and am aiming for just perfect photo for my metal print(especially since I don't have much wall space left to hang one on).
Probably would not do it justice, however would love to see a photo of your finished product.

Hi Dennis.
I went to Nojoqui Falls just about a year ago to take so me photos, but have not been there this year, nor to Solvang. Although my friend Chris went to Solvang a few weeks ago when photographing a youth rugby match.

Thank you for the beautiful photos, and the info., Since I and a friend live in Santa Maria, about an hour away. We have both been trying to find out what is going on up there wildflower-wise.
In case you are interested, I wanted to let you know that I just heard wildflowers are beginning to pop up on the Harmony Headlands trail, just about 1/2 to 1 mile south of Harmony, between Hwy.1 and the coast. If you haven't taken that trail before, it is about 1 1/2 to miles on a pretty wide(in most spots) dirt road, with a little incline, but an easy trail to walk. Dogs are not allowed, in case you need to know that.

I can't think of a name right now, however they sure are amazing photos! No doubt they will sell well. Makes me want to put one or more of my photos on metal even more! I've started a folder of "Potential Metal Prints".

Beautiful! Love how you captured the sun rays!

As the others have said thank you for your service. I much appreciate all our men and women who serve our country!

Thanks so much for sharing the photos and information. I was fortunate for the opportunity to see this on an FFA trip in high school,(did not get as many of the wonderful photos you show here) when I did not realize the dedication these gentleman have for their job. It was one of several tours we were blessed to be part of. Washington DC is special to me, as my parents met there while in the armed forces during World War 2. My mom was from Kansas, my dad from California.

Wow, wonderful Shots! I wish mine were looking like that hand held. Not sure what I'm doing wrong when I take photos at the nursery I work at, but as hard as I try, most seem to be not nearly as sharp as I'd like.

These are great! Especially love number two(too true) and number five(that was my phone at six too).
PhotoNat
Great Shots! Hopefully mine will be as good when I go, hopefully this Fall.

Beautiful photos! Yosemite is my favorite place to go. Especially love your reflection shots. What is the key to good reflection shots?
