Jerry will have to have one shortly! Hang on until he gets the bugs out of it first though.

I'm sorry Burke; you may be a knowledgeable photographer, but you don't know much about keeping computers safe to operate.

There may be third party anti-malware softwares that support it, but otherwise, Win 7 is not safe on the Internet. It is no longer supported with security updates from Microsoft.

I have 3 computers that have Windows 10 and one is getting ready to go to Windows 11 even though 10 isn't that old. My other 3 systems are still running Windows 7; and they are perfectly safe to run on the internet. The problem is that most do not know how to run certain programs on Windows 7 in order to block and stop things on the internet that will put bad things on their computers, and they think they can just click on everything that is on the internet. As far as Microsoft's so-called security programs, I learned a very long time ago, that they are not very good at doing their job at all. I haven't run any of MS's programs for security for at least 2 decades, and my computers are running just fine, sometimes a little slower, but clean from junk, bad programs, and malware, and virus problems. My virus and internet program for years has been ESET; a very good program for banking and anything else, and it is still being used on Windows 10. Until a few months ago it ran on my Windows 7 machines, but they finally stopped supporting on 7, so my Windows 7 machines are now back to using Kaspersky. Those of you that just laughed and swallowed a bunch of air and fell to the floor can get back up now. There isn't a thing wrong with Kaspersky, Russia isn't using it to spy on us like some Microsoft and Google programs. In the past ESET and Kaspersky were always tested along with other programs, and were always were rated in the top 3 places. I can truely say that I never had problems while using ESET or Kaspersky. The other programs that I have used and still use them are Malwarebytes and CCleaner. The secret is to know how to run them, and what extra things they have added not to run. So stop telling people that Windows 7 isn't safe; just learn how to safely run it.

Use a 15 year old browser

Myself and others are still using older systems on some of their older machines because we have programs that are still very important to us and we do not want to loose the use and pleasure of them just because Microsoft attempts to force people to use newer OS's so that they can make more money. If they wanted to they could come out with new systems as often as they wanted to, but make them so they would still operate older programs that people have spent an awful lot of money on and still enjoy very much.

When you are alone and have a heart attack, what are you going to do?

Let's say it's 5:25 pm and you're driving home after an unusually hard day's work. All of a sudden, you have chest pains. They are starting to radiate to the arm and jaw. It feels like you're being stabbed in the chest and heart. You're only a few miles away from the nearest hospital, but you don't know if you can make it.

Maybe you've taken CPR training, but the person running the course hasn't told you how to help yourself. A person who is feeling weak and whose heart is beating hard has only about ten seconds before losing consciousness. Fortunately, there are some things you can do to help yourself.

Cough repeatedly and very strongly. Take deep breaths before every cough. Coughing should be repeated every second until you arrive at the hospital or until your heart starts to beat normally. Deep breathing gives oxygen to your lungs and coughing movements boost the heart and blood circulation. Heart pressure also helps to restore a normal heartbeat. This is how heart attack victims can make it to the hospital to get treated.

You should know that women have additional and different symptoms. They rarely experience crushing chest pain or pain in the arms. They often have indigestion and tightness across the back at the bra line, plus sudden fatigue.

Passing this information along could save a life.

As I said above, this was posted by a friend - not a doctor. I have heard about the coughing and deep breathing several times, though. Of course, eating right and getting enough sleep and exercise can help to prevent a heart attack.

Related - a friend drives a big concrete truck. He suspected that he was having a heart attack, so he drove to a nearby hospital. He got there just in time, and he's fine now.

When I had my heart attack back in 2007 I really didn't have any pain. I just felt funny and I rubbed the back of my neck and head. After I rubbed my head my hands were soaking wet, and I knew I was having a heart attack. This happened in the waiting room at a hospital while I was waiting for my wife to have a port put in her chest for iron injections. So they had me to the ER quickly and then surgery to have two stents put in. I lucked out.

Sorry about the commercials - Youtube's protocol. You can click to "skip".

A masterful live performance by masterful performers!
Enjoy,

Well Mark, I don't know how to thank you for this post with Count Basie and Sinatra. Nobody ever did "Fly Me to the Moon" better than Sinatra and Count Basie. I tried to copy Basie's Band when I was working (playing) around with my Slingerland Drums. It was about 10:30 when I put the dishes in the sink after dinner. I had to listen a lot of the album and then I found a lot of youtube's Sinatra's and Basie's stuff on youtube and listened to them. Then I found some good stuff from Lionel Hampton. I loved him back when I was in high school (57 to 61) and 7th and 8th grade before that. Didn't in Hamps early days get a start when Benny Goodman heard him and picked him up for awhile. I think I say that on an early movie about Benny Goodman was trying to really get more popular. I saved a bunch of stuff on the computer last night, so I know I have a ton of stuff to straighten out today. It was unbelievable to listen and watch some of Hamp's videos at his age. I saved one when he was 91 yrs old and recorded "How High the Moon" in 1993. If I got it right he was born Apr 20, 1902 and passed away Aug 31, 2002. I'd like to know what kept him and his band members going so long, God bless all of them. Well, I better go to bed for awhile. It is now 5:18 am, but I was having a ball listening and watching some of these videos tonight. Here is a link for you that I listened to about 10 times. It is amazing the way he could spin those drum sticks around and never miss a beat. The man was a genious, wish we still had them. Thanks for the post that got me started last night. There is a lot of stuff on youtube now that I didn't know was there. Listen to this one, it is really good!!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7EtWuMI8Qw

"Hamp's Boogie Woogie", (Hey Ba-Ba-Re-Bop!) I'll be listening to that all day now.

I'll be tired today, but I had a blast. Some of the videos and music I heard last night I thought were gone for ever. Some of the memories made this 81 yr old man have wet leaking eyes.

Well yeah! There are some in Cincinnati too!!!

PBS and NPR do get government grants and claim they are donor supported but many of the shows are supported by corporate and foundation sponsors. The short acknowledgements are just like advertising. I wish they would just start accepting advertising.

ALSO, PBS and NPR act like they are owned by the extreme liberals. Their stories and reporting are so far from balanced and non-political, that they might just as well come-out and call themselves National Liberal Television and Liberal Broadcasting Service.

I do enjoy some of their dramas, comedies and historical documentaries; but can't stand listening much of their discussion. They would rather die than include anyone with a conservative opinion in their programming.

Few days ago Rick/GreyMule posted a photo of "Desert Bugs -Bleu Hours/Sunrise Bisti Wilderness". A very nice and surreal image that many of you appreciated and complimented. I dd the same and since the Bisti-De-Na-Zin is really a unique area with strange rock formations, I attached to my comment a photo of the wings I took more than one year ago. I had no intention to minimize Rick's photo, I wanted just to show another wonderful part of this large remote area offering unique photographic opportunities. My photo has been misunderstood as a threads by Rick/Grey Mule to his photos and I got back this message, Quote: Nice image of hoodoos. However, please don't post photo on any post and threads of mine. Very rude.Thank you for your understanding:Unquote.
Again, it was not my intention to be a thread to Rick/GreyMule post. I apologize if my action has been understood this way. But for sure I not the rude guy and his reply is more than rude to me and very arrogant.
Just to show the beauty of the Bisti-De-Na-Zin " wings area" many of you may not know, I attach few photos taken there.

Perhaps you should read the rules for UHH. I'm not trying to be rude to you, but I have done this several times, and one day I happened to look at the rules, and then I found out that is a bad thing to do unless the one who originally posted the photo asks others to post their photos. If you wanted to show pictures of the same place you should have made your own separate post. Now you should apologies to Rick/GreyMule for insinuating that He was rude.

EXCEPT for the heart attack part!

I wrote test programs for integrated circuits and semiconductors (transistors, diodes, etc.).
At one point, between work and "hobby", I had a dozen programming languages in my head.
Only four remain in my head now, for the most part?
(Pascal wasn't one of them.)

That is impressive! Do they even still use Pascal?

Concerning the heart attack; I was in a waiting room at the hospital waiting on my Wife in surgery having a port put in her chest for iron injections. They took me right down to the ER and got some pictures of the heart, then took me right up to surgery and put two stents in my heart. That was in 2007, and the ticker has been okay so far. When my Wife woke up after her surgery she told me that when her nurse told her that "oh, by the way, your Husband had a heart attack while you were in surgery", she said she almost had a heart attack. When my surgeon
opened one of the stents I could feel the warm blood rush through the artery. That was amazing to feel that.
