RE point 1: Oh just wait!

If Trump is so innocent why is he acting so guilty?

The Mueller Investigation was not created to look at collusion this is something Trump made up amd you are foolish enough to believe!

We're a divided country, we're told.

People blame the media. Others -- politicians. But, to quote former President Obama, don't blame me! Instead, put it on identity politics:

"When I hear people say they don’t like identity politics they don’t like, I think it’s important to remember that identity politics doesn’t just apply when its black people or gay people or women. The folks who really originated identity politics were folks who said 3/5ths clause and all that stuff. That was identity politics. That’s still out there."

He's dead right. The past was super r****t. Just ask Democrats, who went to war to defend s***ery. But that was then.

But now Obama seems to be arguing around a current problem. Kind of like when faced with Islamic terror, you say this:

"Unless we get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place, remember that during the crusades, the inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ."

I don't blame Obama’s what-aboutism.

Except that it excuses the one flaw, that if fixed, could unify his party, and this country. That flaw is identity politics, which prefers disunity and differences, over mutual understanding.

Political power based on grievance requires an endless supply of oppressors. Without them, there’s no power. No wonder young, healthy, individuals with endless opportunities feel and seem hopeless. Anger ruins them.

Identity politics says you're never going to win until you're the oppressor, and that means embracing a vengeance-based dogma. And it says that others, no matter their age -- are still guilty of a huge historical crime. Against b****s, women, gays -- you name it.

Ultimately each group will turn on itself, since one person's oppressor is another's victim. And it removes forgiveness, and commonality -- replacing it with a grievance drip, that leaves you unhirable, and bitter.

Until the Democrats discard this obstacle to unity, it will only get worse.

Hell, it's not often that I give earnest advice to Democrats. What am I thinking?

Almost everything will be shot on a tripod. What would you recommend?
I'm sure you will have questions for me.

No one is allowed to accuse anyone else, in the classroom or out, dead or alive, of being r****t, sexist, xenophobic, white supremist, or any other derisive, identity-based label. No slurs or name-calling. These don’t enlighten, educate, or edify. They add nothing. Give us an argument. Tell us why the other person is wrong.

No one can complain to administrators—those officious thought police—about anything said in class.

Finally, both the government and private donors need to rethink the lavish financial support for higher education, and especially for elite and selective institutions, which serve only a teeny-tiny portion of our population and which in many ways, I’m afraid, have become an anti-Western and anti-American liability.

How can we get the rich to see that supporting elite universities today might not be the wisest and more fruitful uses of their hard-earned money? What we need is a list of alternative causes and alternative institutions and goals for their money that help ordinary, average, unspecial people who have been unduly neglected by our elites and our increasingly walled off from them."

Of course you are wrong!

Obama tossed a bunch of Russians out of the country and closed a bunch of residences.

Nevertheless, Trump let them all back in and reopened the residences!

Your ignorance is showing again!!!!

As for the investigations let them proceed. If Trump has done no wrong he should be pleased to let the matter come to rest. In fact, he should agree to answering all of Mueller's questions. An innocent man acts like an innocent man. Trump does not act in such a manner!

Actually an interesting speculation, pre-supposing two things, of course. 1) Trump is actually guilty of anything. After all, Obama chose not to take decisive action in 2016 when there was 'proof' the Russians were using cyber-means to try to influence the process. In fact, Obama went on various media outlets to brag that the Russians were incapable of influencing the e******n. Also, seeing as Obama had informants within the Trump team and had surveillance on Trump's affairs, it's hard to imagine Trump was guilty of anything and Obama and his Justice Department, informants, and surveillance would have missed it or chosen not to disclose it. 2) Americans actually care. Obama said, on camera and a hot mic, that he'd "have more flexibility" to make deals with Putin "after the (2012) e******ns" and I'm still waiting for that obvious overture of appeasement to draw criticism en masse.

I guess everything reminds me of a scene, a song, a poem, but this whole issue brings me to Apollo 13. In the movie, the Kevin Bacon character (Jack Swigert) is worried about their eventual re-entry plan and the Tom Hanks character (Jim Lovell) assures him that "they have half the PHD's on the planet working on it." Here we have 98% of the 'journalists,' western media, foreign press, foreign intelligence, and hackers-for-hire looking for this evidence, for 2 years now and there has been nothing conclusive released. The simplest explanation for this lack of proof, and the most likely according to Occam's Razor anyway, is that there is no proof as there was no actual collusion. I could be wrong, but seeing as the man-hours put into this story are topping a million times the number put into the investigation of the JFK assassination, I'm not optimistic about ever being 'wowed' with evidence. Plus, in affairs of government, and especially in the case where government competence is required, I hold exceptionally low expectations, and am still disappointed on frequent occasion.

I live in SE Florida. The hispanic population by county is 68% Dade, 29% Broward and 23% Palm Beach County. The latinos are hard working and entrepreneurial. They come from all over south and central America. They have created a vibrant and dynamic economy and cultural setting in which to live. Yet, the bigot in office sees them as a threat! How small a man he is and how sad his policies.
As a nation we processed 12 million through Ellis Island and at its height 5,000 per day. I would bet we could do the same. Oh you say, that was then and this is now. You said at the turn of the 20th Century that the Germans, Italians, Jews, Scandinavians, Central Europeans, etc. were all a burden and that they would amount to nothing. You were wrong then and you are wrong now. This is the United States and as a nation we provide opportunity. If you think I am wrong just look at your last name!

It is interesting to note that Hitler and Mussolini made stuff up. In fact, the right wing has to make things up because they do not have an ideology that appeals to any thinking person. The have a tendency to put words into others mouths which were not said. They especially like to create quotes of the founding fathers of the nation. They are a bankrupt lot and all that they present should be researched and if so done one will find 99% to be just pure BS! Additionally, they are an ignorant lot as demonstrated by the above nonsense. The OP could have simply looked one or two of the silly things said and discovered that he had been lied to again!
