AlMac, that's a really helpful video. I've been working through Lightroom (I learned on Photoshop, so I'm OK with going there). It appears that using PS might be signficiantly helpful.

So appreciative!

Pleased it was useful. I also struggle with Lightroom's print module so I always take my images into photoshop to print.
Had no problems up to now.

Not only your country. There have been demonstrations all over here in the UK as well and it has nothing to do with us. Bet he's quaking in his boots!
You would think the MPs and Councillors would get their own constituencies sorted before worrying about what you are doing.

Here is a good tutorial from Picture Correct entitled How to Prepare Your Photos for Printing.
Hope it helps you.

I use my D300s as back up to my D800. Same controls and still takes excellent shots. Its only limitation is in low light situations. Anything above ISO 800 you need serious noise reduction in post.

Here's a bit of practice for anybody wanting to flex their landscape editing muscles (DNG below the JPG).

Here's my go R.G. All in Lightroom.

With the DNG file. Used my usual start with highlights and shadows. Linear grad filter to darken the sky then used the brush tool to make local adjustments, mainly sharpening and contrast on the mountain.

Looking at it on this site I think I've gone overboard with the greenery in the foreground on the right. My eyes seem drawn towards it. It looked ok on my screen in L/R but it stands out more on here.

Went for a grungy look to bring out the rust.

In Lightroom I brought the clarity and sharpening right up and lowered the saturation to -50. Brought it into photoshop and in Nic's Vivisa effects upped the structure to +36.
Experimented with different paper textures (totally random trial and error) to achieve an effect I was happy with. Ended up using 3 textures at different opacities.

And this relates to photography how?

I posted this to the attic, so if it showed up elsewhere then it's not down to me.

I'm sorry Alan, playing nice when it comes to Donald J. Frump isn't possible. The man sticks his foot in his mouth every time an opportunity arises. He continually, and quite proudly, insults the intelligence of the American people while thinking he's clever.

His own party is retreating in droves and he wouldn't make a decent pimple on Clinton's ass.

Even during the second debate, he spent more time attacking and insulting than intelligently answering ANY of the questions he was asked and if elected, I have absolutely no problem becoming a citizen of the United Kingdom. Got a spare room???

Mike you would be welcome any time but being in the north of England, I don't think the weather would suit you.
