Nice work Ralph. Don
Thank you, “PAR4DCR”. I am deeply gratified by the positive reception this image has received. Sometimes we visualize a photo and work carefully on it, hoping the final result will be, as in this case, close to what we expect. I appreciate your kind words.

Very nice black and white...good job!
Thank you, “merrytexan”! What quadrant of the Lone Star state are you from? In my business travel years (real estate administrator and, later, real estate finance underwriting manager) for a midwest insurance company, I spent time in Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, Ft. Worth, and Houston. Retired now, but I miss the vibrancy of that state.
It’s a new world of business - takeovers, mergers, spin offs, sales, divestitures, database facility closings, etc. I would be willing to bet big money that SmugMug and Flicker will not promise the outcome one way or another. Anything they say today could well change overnight. Don’t reject them, but shopping around might be wise. Watch events as reported by DPReview.

You can see what kind of life he's led by his face. Nice portrait.
I appreciate those words, “bob mevis”. During my high school years, I spent three summers at the naval prep school at Culver Military Academy in Indiana. A few years later I taught there one summer. I have family from various parts of northern Indiana. It is an area I love and lately miss.

So simple it is perfect.
<smiling> Thank you, Art, the photo is simple, just like the photographer.
Thank you, Blair. I’ve been a fan of b&w since the film era. Favorite film cameras were the Contax G1, the Rollei 35/35s, and the Nikon 8008s.

Great shot Ralph!!!
Thank you, Bill. Those are some nicely-rendered photos you have on your website.
Suggest a Fujifilm X100F fixed lens camera. Great for travel, family, reportage, events, landscapes. Many creative options built right in. Used copies are available from many of the larger camera vendors. In the past few years, this camera is among the best I’ve seen.
