Many have requested what camera will do many things on a budget and simple operation..
I started in high school with a brownie box camera, to Leica 111F with lenses, worked in camera stores and part time professional photographer. Now in later life, with fixed budget, shooting family and local scenes, I have a suggestion for others.
By accident, 3 years ago, looking for a new camera, I bought a Canon (Bridge) sx530 camera with a
1x1 up to a 50X zoom lens. Very light and easy to handle. The built in software offers many options for different looks in shooting. I bought this camera for $250.00. Still available thru Amazon.
There are similar others in Sony and Nikon.
Hopefully the pictures shown will give an idea of the capabilities of this camera. Not intended for the advanced amateur or professional. For a little more money you can have a built in hot shoe and audio input, a good addition. Also the built in movie option is great to add interest to any trip for family and local scenes. Bu the way, I shot many with the Auto mode, giving me the freedom to concentrate on the scene. I'm sure more ideas will be given. Good luck to all. A great pastime.
certainly seems very capable,............ all in one solution.......worth consideration.
I have a FujiFilm bridge camera, which when I use it, surprises me with it's capabilities

The "eye" of the photographer is the most important tool. Having a pro camera can make things easier.

Very versatile - like your busy bee!
Suggest a Fujifilm X100F fixed lens camera. Great for travel, family, reportage, events, landscapes. Many creative options built right in. Used copies are available from many of the larger camera vendors. In the past few years, this camera is among the best I’ve seen.

Do you remember the Sony R1? - Fantabulous Camera.
Looks to be very capable.
I like the range your camera has and you have done well with it. Thank you.

That camera has one item that disqualifies it for me, actually a lack of an item, NO VIEWFINDER! Every thing else about it looks good to me.
My Fujifilm X-E3 is a great travel companion and gets the job done for me. And, with interchangeable lenses, I have some additional options, although I usually only take one fixed length and one zoom lens when I travel.
For a do it all camera, I assume you want a camera that you wont have to change lens from time to time. You can still get Canon sx series and Nikon p series cameras. With a higher budget, Fuji, Sony and panasonic make great high zoom bridge cameras. For a fixed lens compact, you can't beat Fuji X 100 series cameras.
Your attitude will go a long way toward determining your success. Or, you can buy a new camera.

Like Chippy65, I too have a Fujifilm (HS10). I am often amazed at the quality of my images taken with it. I took it to the UK in the spring as I am too old now to lug my entire kit on an aircraft, and around the country. Pictures taken on that trip were very satisfying and the long zoom came in very handy. Not every image has to be a work of art - memories, in particular, are what count the most.

I felt the same and back when it was the current model, bought the SX50 HS. Only 12 MP but a champ. I got the attached photo with it in Auto! (The eclipse passed too fast to go manual). You can even see flares!
