I have upgraded my iMac, early 2009 with 4 gb ram, a MacBook Pro 13", and a MacBook Air 13" with no problems except having to upgrade a couple of applications including two Apple applications. Go for it!

Helped a young sailor from a broken home find a previously unknown brother in the Marines using Autovon telephone system. Required calls to DC, San Diego Marine Base, England, Norway, and then finally to San Diego Naval Hospital. We found him! The Marine was on emergency leave from a TAD assignment to England and Norway. Took almost six hours but resulted in two happy brother warriors!

I have three Domke 1.5-Inch Web Straps with Swivel 742-1BK. They solved your problem when it was my problem by two rubber-like runners on the inside of the strap. About $20 each at Amazon.
Good Luck!

You may want to check out a Manfrotto Super Clamp with Standard Stud. Costs around $35 at B&H.

Have a GREAT trip!

As a SOONER (that means that I am from Oklahoma, - a group sometimes called OKIEs - also "Liz's home state). I was taught: A half truth is no truth at all.

Liz declared that she is part Native American from Oklahoma at two different Universities; declarations yielding significant benefits for her. Yet she also declares that she did not make either declaration for the derived perks given (However she did enjoy them).

At best she demonstrated half-truths or NO TRUTH at all. I DO NOT TRUST HER and I live in MASS. CPO US Navy (RET)

My suggestions:
1. Install Light Room (LR) on both computers.
2. Make and save an LR catalog on the external hard driver (EHD)
3. When opening LR on one of the computers (assuming the EHD is connected to the computer) open the EHD LR catalog
4. Now you should be up and running!
TIP: I shoot RAW and JPEG simultaneously. I save the RAWs on the EHD and the JPEGs in iPhoto (best of both worlds). I then "IMPORT" the RAWs into LR.

GOOD LUCK!

Using the Mac OSX 10.n.n screen capture technique the captured image goes to the desktop then you can rename it and store where ever you want. I use the capability when ordering items over the internet - with Amazon it saved my backside a couple of times as they found it difficult to argue with an image of the order.

Mr. Stanley Fleming

Thank you for calling me Chief!

It's been a long time , 38 years, since I enjoyed being addressed by that title.

If you are using Mac OS X 10.n.n then you have two free built-in choices:

1. For Whole screen: Press Shift Command-3

2. For One Rectangular Section of screen: Press Shift Command-4. Then use normal cursor controls to select the area os the rectangular section.

Good luck!

You have limited your view too narrowly! Expand to the entire US Government (including the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches!)

Hi. I recommend that you invest in the book:

David Busch's Nikon D7100 Guide to Digital SLR Photography.

His guide for the Nikon D7000 is a constant guide for me, organizing the pertinent info given in the Nikon User's Guide. The newly organized information is in a form, that when used with the Nikon Guide, provides a rich path to becoming at least competent and perhaps even fluent. These camera are as complex as the newest personal computers so be prepared to have fun while learning! Good luck and keep at it!

Mac screen enlargements. Use command - shift - + to enlarge the screen shot and image. I am using Mac Operating system OSX 10.9.2 currently but in past OS versions this also works.
