Thanks, Marion. Proof that I CAN point a camera at something besides Madame P! LOL

He's a very cute little guy, full of mischief, and will make a perfect member of the Ministry of Mayhem when he grows up.

Thanks for the very kind words for this one, and thanks as always for stopping by! Much appreciated!

With the Vulcan Mind Meld completed and some time on the Ministry's Obstacle Course (otherwise known as the floor and stairs) under his belt, the recruit is now ready for some real-world action.

Of course, at only seven weeks old, travel time to and fro takes a little longer than his instructor (Madame P) has patience for. Therefore, the recruit is placed in her pocket to speed the process along.

This also has the beneficial side effect of knowing the recruit's exact location and just what he's up to.

What a beautiful picture of a beautiful kitty.

I dislike the fact that UHH imposes a 20Mb limit on posts. (That assumes, of course, that the bandwidth/download limit imposed on images would be similarly imposed on a worded post, and I don't know whether that's true, is an urban legend, or is instead some undigested bit of yesterday's dinner that's talking to me.) Why, you may ask, do I dislike that 20Mb limit? Answer's easy: there's so many things that --if I took the time to think about them and write them all down-- I dislike that to list them all would prob'ly run up into stratospheric terabyte territory before I got to the stuff that really gets my goat, and that I abhor with the heat of a thousand suns. What's the word for a million terabytes? Galactobyets or something? That's a lot of dislike hatred. With an exclamation mark!

And after writing all that down, what I'd REALLY "dislike" is if some oh-so-brilliant Hogified responder replied with a sneering, snarky, completely witless comeback of the likes 'yeah, but tell us how you REALLY feel.' The results of something like that would be Front Page Of The New York Times epic. We're talking rip their throat out with my filed down teeth epic.

The good news is that I don't think about that dislikey stuff all that much. Or --after I've taken my blue pill and my three little red pills firstest thing in the morning-- ever at all, really. I like ptofeggery. It's calming.

How many bytes have I used up here??? Techies??? Anybody??????????

Thanks, Marion. Madame P is definitely a superior sort, with special powers to enchant and bewitch the unwary. And she'll nail the wary, too, just to prove she can do it.

Mark Twain once commented '...If humans were crossed with cats, it could only be to the detriment of cats.' True, dat. But crossing Madame P with cats, now that's something else entirely. Might be interesting to see that one, lol.

Thanks for the kind words and your visit, always much appreciated!

Following Madame P's Vulcan Mind Meld, the six-week old recruit is now ready, willing, and able to venture forth without hesitation on a lifelong path of devastation and destruction. Striking fear into the hearts of everyone at the Ministry of Mayhem, nothing and no one is safe from his depredations, as he zooms--seemingly out of nowhere--and pounces on his unsuspecting victim, only to zoom off again.

I wished I had more time to keep up with your posts, Randy. Madame P's Vulcan Mind Meld is way over my head, but if she can Mind Meld with a cat.....?
Hmmmm, she must be a very superior being.
To become one with a cat can only improve the human..., or witch.
Love the beautiful kitty portrait.
Thanx,

I went to a local used camera show today with my granddaughter. I carry a couple of 82mm filters (CP & ND) but my pouch is a little too small and they don't fit well. For $5, I found a like new Hoya pouch holding about a half dozen misc filters. I think it's designed for their 77mm filters, but the 82s fit perfectly. One of the filters was a like new 62mm Hoya NXT CP filter which fits my Tamron macro perfectly. It retails for about $62 on Amazon. Gave the rest to my granddaughter.

Gotta love it. Pays to shop around and hit the sales.

I use Corel Paintshop. LR seems to be the favored program on his forum. I thought it might be interesting to tabulate preferred editors without going into all the various reasons for making that selection. If this has already been done recently, let me know. I probably overlooked it in 'Search'. Thanks.

By "won't require a home mortgage" do you mean anything under $20,000.00? That does not really help anyone help you. Just give an actual amount. BenQ and Dell Outlet are good sources for quality low cost monitors.

Until you can decide on your budget, you might want to see this article:

Can't blame you for the confusion. Omi--in this case--is short for 'Naomi,' as we couldn't be bothered to use three syllables to call her, lol. The laser pointer is what she lives for, and she'll chase it till she drops. We try to limit her time with it as she's getting on a bit, and don't want her having a heart attack.

As for Madame P's involvement, she's clearly in it up to her neck. She appears to have the Martian bamboozled, and he may wait forever for that report from the frog/Colonel. I'm sure she has her reasons, and my faith in her will never waiver, but...

Thanks, Marion. I don't want to come right out and say the Martian's a tightwad, so let's just say he's very careful with a dollar.

Omi has certainly earned some consideration for her suffering at the Colonel's hands, but good luck to her getting an extra nickel from His Highness, lol.

And no surprise to find that Madame P is somehow involved in this caper. Not sure what she's up to, but I'm sure she has the Ministry's best interests at heart. Probably.

Thanks for stopping by and your positive comments, always very much appreciated!

I'm sorry. I'm not very good at reading the other replies. I was not aware that Omi was a girl. I can't even imagine the torment the girls been thru. It's one thing for a guy, but a girl? And Madame P is somehow involved in this caper?
Omi's a funny name for a girl.LOL
