This is a resounding success. I really like it. Although it IS a silhouette, it is full of expression. Very nicely done Moxie.

Chasing Auroras..

What a super capture of the Northern Lights. Composition is beautiful in the way the rocks in the foreground lead to the mountains and then the Auroras. Very nicely done Kalina.

While reading your post I found other free offers for this software with no apparent date limitation. I didn't try it myself but it might be worth a try. The site is Bloglovin and the address is below.

Excellent captures Joe. Very well done. I congratulate you for being able to befriend this bird and to be able to approach in such a manner. You were sure in the middle of the action in the last two shots.

Jim, I looked at these photos for a second time in download. Although I really like the subject matter and the action, upon closer scrutiny I found that most lacked sharpness. I reviewed the file data for these photos and it revealed that the shots were taken at 1/100 at F 4.6 and ISO 500.

In these types of shots you would normally want 1/500 sec in order to stop the action. I know that with the G6 your max opening is F3.5. So, in order to crank up the shutter speed you would need a sunny day. If it's done on a cloudy day you would have to increase the ISO quite a bit... maybe 1600 or more, but that would increase the grain in the image. Hope this can be useful if you do it again.

Very good action shots Jim. You had very cooperative and athletic subjects. You capture good action. My favorites are 1,3 and 5.

This is an excellent set Erich. I like the detail and color. Well done. I do have a comment for #1.. the flower has lost detail and color in the shadows at the centre of the plant. It seems like odd man out insofar as composition compared to the others.
