I took these on my front porch. These guys are so fast and they chase each other all day long. they guard their area all day. they come up to me as close as 1.5 ft and stare at me.. then it will go hide inside of bush or sit on a branch and wait to ambush the next hummer that comes to feed from the feeder, its never ending.

Nice shots. You appear to be a candidate for shooting Car Henge in Nebraska, if you've not already been there.

I kinda lucked into this place as we were going thru Amarillo Texas, I saw it as we passed it going west on I-40,
it was on the other side of the highway approx. 200 yrd from side road. Have not been to Nebraska yet, so I gotta add it to things to see list.

thanks for looking

I've been seeing photos of these old Caddys for years now, and all I can think is "someone sure has an imagination"!! Thanks for sharing!

I remember a long time ago reading about this, And when I drove past this I wasn't sure what it was, but I saw a lot of people were stopped and looking. So I drove about 5 miles out the way to get back to it, plus down the road about 1/4 mile is the Cadillac Ranch store that have the three Caddys in front. They also sell spray paint cans for $7.00 a can so you can leave your mark. the cars are about a couple hundred yards from the road, You can see the cars from the highway but not the store.

thanks for looking..

On our Way home from our family reunion that was held in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. We were driving down Hwy 40, thru the Texas Panhandle. We stopped at Cadillac Ranch, which have 10 Cadillacs planted upside down into the ground all in a row. They been there since 1976 I think.

Looking of recommendations for a good all purpose wide angle lens. Have a Nikon D7100. Shoot mostly landscapes and some group people shots. All input welcome.

Tokina 11-16, that's what I have for my Nikons. SuperWide that is. 16-85 nikkor, and 17-50 sigma. All 3 are very good.

Going to LA May 6 - 9, and will be staying in the North Glendale area. Any suggestions on things to shoot? Anyone available in the area to meet and shoot? Full days shooting May 7 and 8. Feel free to contact me on PM. Will have own transportation.

You need to go to Venice beach and walk around or skate or ride your bike or skateboard, its safe enough to take your camera, or go to Santa Monica beach and do the same, walk the boardwalk and drool. You got so many beaches here its crazy, plus right now it is hot , like 90 degrees hot, just go for it.

This park is spread out and will take a few days just to see the easy access points of interest.
There are 18 images to post

These first 2 images are at Badwater Basin. The lowest point in North America.

Nice pictures pat.. I been there twice, first time went to Scotty's Castle and the Borax sites and a few other places in there. The second time I went after it received a lot of rain and the wildflowers were growing out the rocks, I have a lot of the same pictures you have. I plan on going again. This time with better gear. That place gets very little rain and it can get windy.

I picked this lens up today - made by Tokina - with the 1:1 optical adapter for Nikon. It is reputed to be one of the sharpest lenses ever made - a bold statement I agree ! Does anyone here have experience with this lens or other areas of opinion about this lens ?? Thanks.... I have the Nikon to Canon adapter so I will be trying out on 50D or 60D.

Back in the late 1970's or early 1980's I bought one with the 1.1 adapter for my Nikon F2, at the time it advertised as being the sharpest lens in all of Photography.
