Hi GAClowers,
Beautiful! I love the color that you get with morning photos. Then there is the whiter look after the sun has risen.
Very nice.
Hi zerbphlatz, it's great to be here.
I would love to see some of your lightning shots!
Here is a half moon shot. I found that when I lightened up the other moon shot, it lost some detail so I thought I'd submit this one instead.
Hi auntie!
I could tinker with it a bit to see if I could bring more detail out.
Thanks for the input.
Rich
Do it! It was very impressive when I got my first glimpse of it. And yes, we did visit Crazy Horse.
Thanks for the kind words everyone! Keep shootin'.
Here are a few shots of Mt. Rushmore at different times of day.
Yes, the lens was the 18-105 kit lens (camera on a tripod of course), set to F8, focus to infinity, use "bulb" setting, and wireless remote. Looking forward to trying to capture more this year. Good luck to you!!
Thanks to everyone for the nice comments.
No one liked the moon shot?
Chipmunk!
Agreed. I like the vertical one better as well. Thanks for the input.
I took these first two photos in Canyonlands National Park in Utah last year. Obviously one with the camera held horizontally and one vertically. Which do you prefer? I also included one from Arches National Park.
Hope you like them!
I changed it a bit. Hope it's better. Thanks for the input.
Hi everybody. My name is Rich and I currently live in Clifton Park, NY. I am looking forward to learning from everyone here about their experiences and tips for better photography.
I am using a Nikon D7000 (upgraded from the D70) with the 18-105 kit lens and a 70-300 zoom. I love lightning so I made my first attempts at shooting it when we lived in Johnstown, Colorado last year. I also included a shot of the moon and a critter from Bear Lake, Colorado. Would love to hear what you think.
