Yes, that did the trick...fingernail lift while clicking sounds are heard...Touchy little guy isn't it?

Used a Q-tip with a little alcohol to clean, although I didn't see any evidence by eye of anything suspicous....

Tks buddy....love this site...(:>)...saved me a 55 mile trip to "Best Buy"...

Tks again...Now I know.

Your welcome, glad that worked. Sometimes they just get a little grit in them and gum up.

CANON T3i.....brand new two months old. When in low light the flash will not pop up when set on "automatic" or any other setting. A clicking sound but no pop up. screen reads: "err05 the built in flash could not be raised-turn the camera on and off again"...

...But it does not work and fails to fix the problem when turning the camera "off and then on again".....any suggestions other than taking it back to BEST BUY...I have full Coverage insurance. (so no sweat)

Also will not pop up using the forced pop button on the side.

tks,
any takers...

I have a 20D that sometimes does that with the clicking noise. I will take my finger nail and get on the side off the flash and gently pull up while it is clicking and when it does come up then I will clean in side of the flash and hooks that hold it down to make sure nothing is hendering the hooks from moving. Then test by holding the button down that tell the camera that the flash is down to see if the hooks move. If hooks don't move then there may be something broke. If they do move just a good cleaning works for me. Hope this help you out.

I don't think there is anything you could do to make this a bad photo, aside from not taking it in the first place. This shows pure innocence and purity.

A tad lighter if at all

Great photo.

Thanks for the comment. I was trying out different lighting and was only using one light camera left with a flash on camera right bounced off the wall at 1/4 power.

I am looking for C&C on the lighting of the subject, i.e is the overall pic to dark, to much shadow on the right side and so on.

The camera tbh but to show off that lovely face I would have had the camera further back in the frame so your eyes would have gone to her first.

She is a lovely woman inside and out this was just a snap shot to show off her camera that she recieve that day. We were shooting the Babe Ruth 13-15 baseball world series in Van Buren Ar. So I was just showing her with her new toy and ended up getting a great shot.

This is one of my friends that I shot sports with and she just had to have a 5D Mark 3. Her and I both have the Canon 50D but I guess that she needed a better camera but she let's me shoot with it and now I want one---LOL

I did surprize myself with such a great shot of my friend and her new camera

What was the first thing you looked at in this portrait. Where your eyes drawn to the subject first.

Get both I have 2 20d and 1 30d they are great. The only draw back with them is the noise at high ISO and I am talking about 800 or above, just get you a good noise reduction program. I have even taken a jpeg file from the 20d and made a 20x30 pic from it and of held up great for a 8 pixel camera.

This was done by my 11yr. old son and it just really surprised me because he knows nothing about Photoshop, but got on Youtube and learned how to do it.

I was so impressed that I thought I would share it.

P.S. The background he took with his P&S but he got the eagle off of google and cut it out.

They look good to me and I am on a smart phone at work. Lol The green grass looks great wish we had that here in AR. All we have is brown grass. Unless the child hair is actually brown and not red I don't see a problem.

Nice image with the capture of the sun peaking through. Did you use fill flash or a reflector?

Thanks for the comment

This is a fill flash, off camera,at 1/32 power. Going to work on some strobe work when I get my other two flashes in and was just out playing with my single flash for now.

Perfect fill flash. Good work.

I'm the curmudgeon - I disagree with Everybody ('cept Tilde, of course). I'm a rank amateur, and if I can tell you used fill flash, I contend that it was too strong. Can you dim it in PP and see if it looks better to you?

I Google just about everything that I don't understand and had to Google "curmudgeon" and had to laugh. I just want to thank you for your honest comment, this is how I learn when I try new things.

There were two things I learned from this shot, 1st I had the wrong lens a 10-22---oops to close. 2nd thing was I need to put the flash on a stand and not hold it in one had while holding the camera in the other, I had alot of blurry ones.

I did do PP and dimmed it down some but it was a real show me the flash shot, I am just learning how to do strobe work and waiting on 2 more flashes to come in.

Ulgy Jake I do thank you for your comment and welcome more on anything I post. Thanks again
