I think this flower would be a perfect subject for focus stacking. Being new to macro and still trying to grasp on it, not ready jump into stacking yet, but I was wondering, my camera is a Nikon d3100 and it has eleven focus points, does that mean then that I would only be capable of only shooting a stack of eleven??

thanks angela .... birds have been pretty busy here this morning....we weren't at your 13 but pretty close tho ... calling for snow here in the Carolina's starting late Monday...so I guess they are on a feeding frenzy today

these are heavily cropped, I used my 105mm lens, I was standing about 30 yds from where the bird's were in the tree
