Bob, from a fellow Alabamian. I love to “monkey” around (Chimp”) with my photos. I don’t always get it right as I like to the first time. Roll Tide Role!! Go Tigers Go!!
I love shooting in b&w. My granddaughter makes a beautiful subject although she doesn’t like me taking shots of her. This pic was taken in a cold restaurant while she was wrapped in my old hoodie sweater and eating chocolate ice cream. I wanted to make her eyes the focal point for the viewer. I used my iPhone 7+ and Light Room post editing app to remove the chocolate from her chin. I also attached a pic before the b & w.
Very nice! I like them both but I nominate the second one bc I love doing live shots on my iPhone and editing with long exposure selection. I don’t have a digital camera, just an iPhone 7plus, which with my editing apps I can achieve a pretty good looking shot. I love shooting in b&w. My granddaughter makes a beautiful subject although she doesn’t like me taking shots of her. This pic was taken in a cold restaurant while she was wrapped in my old hoodie sweater and eating chocolate ice cream. She has the most beautiful piercing blue eyes.
These were made from our visit to Palo Duro Canyon and Caprock Canyon Park earlier this year in Texas. I used my Apple 7+ IPhone. Quite beautiful place! The white you see in some pictures is a form of gypsum-like deposit.
Excellent detail! Great catch!
Thanks for your comments!
Thanks! When I opened the hotel curtains to check the weather, I was greeted with this view! FYI, I googled the cause of these streets of clouds:
Cloud streets are long rows of cumulus clouds that are oriented parallel to the direction of the wind. They're formed by convection rolls of rising warm air and sinking cool air. Rising warm air cools gradually as it ascends into the atmosphere.
Jim
I didn’t—I broke it the day before when I knocked it onto a pile of rocks. Luckily, my iPhone wasn’t attached!
This Jim loves these catches, Jim! Definitely worth hanging these “gems” in your gallery! More, please!
Excellent picture! I am a big fan of black and white especially when making photos of dead trees. You obviously have mastered the technique! Keep up the good work!
We traveled to Utah last year to the big 5 National Parks in Utah. Here’s few pics I made—more to follow. If you’re able to go, we highly recommend the trip!!
