If you do this, make sure you are aware of your limits and talents. Nothing could be more upsetting than to screw up and lose a cherished event in someone's life
Also, a lot would depend on how often you are downloading photos......I would think most don't perform this constantly on a daily basis.

Have idea as to cost.....probably have a fixed minimum cost and then an upcharge as repairs increase. Don't forget to factor in shipping and insurance for the lens to the factory, which alone can get pricey .
