Really like what you did with this rendition. Well done, in my opinion.

Thank you Flyguy, Topaz restyle gives you thousands of option, makes it hard to find one that fits your mood.

I have had this photo forever, since 2006. It is one of my favorites, especially since it was taken with a 6Mpx camera. ( Olympus HSC - H2). I have been working on getting the blown out areas toned down, but have not ha any luck. You may tinker with this picture if you want, post your results, and C&C in general is welcomed.

Beautiful photo, I love the clouds and sun rays. I gave a try at recovering detail in the blown out areas. I did get recover some and made up what I couldn't retrieve. I ran the photo through Topaz restyle and came up with this image.

Hi Bob; Beautiful statue, all you need is a way to make it stand out and take its place. I did my best to do that without going to far from the original. Blue sky with some clouds, trees blurred and a little shimmer around the edges and a little sharpening and brass color for the statue.

Not really grumpy, at least most of the time. One friend said it makes me look Amish. It is a few years old, so will have to get an update and see how much change age makes.

Roadking, your avatar makes you look very, very grumpy. Is that really you?[/quote]

Hi Linda; I agree that your coyote photo is perfect the way that it is, but I did try enhancing the coyote's face without disturbing the rest of the photo. I selected the face with the lasso tool and used shadows and highlight tool to get a little more definition. Then I used the burn tool to blend in with the rest of the body.

Hi Bob; It is easy to see why you choose this composition. You have the mighty tree, yet this little vine chooses to compete with it for life.

I used the cloning tool to remove the offending light or at least push it to the very bottom. Being true to myself and over doing everything, I used a luminosity mask to bring out the texture of the bark.

This was taken in Manasquan NJ back in the spring of 2011. I like the photo but wish I could have made it more vibrant....something. When I play with it I tend to over-saturate it so I was wondering what others who had more experience or more "know how" could do. I would love to see others interpretations. Thanks!

Always great to read your fertilizing prose.

Washington (CNN) -- It's a glaring number in a national poll that's making headlines.

President Barack Obama's approval rating dropped 8 percentage points over the past month to 45%, the president's lowest rating in more than 18 months, according to a CNN/ORC International survey released on Monday.

And Obama's disapproval rating soared 9 points to 54% since mid-May.

I used Smart Photo Editor, which cost around $30, it is great for selecting subject or background. Once selected, it has hundreds of presets as well as sliders for manual adjustments. It make correcting an image like yours very easy.

A while back I asked about any experience with Model Mayhem. I received several replies, and I thank you. I met a young lady and we did an outside shoot in the desert, and you can see my problem. I did not have an assistant, I did not have reflectors, and I did not use fill flash. Now that we know the original mistakes I made, does anyone have any post processing suggestions to alter the highlight/shadow that makes her nose look like Jimmy Durante's. Yes she has a big nose, but I didn't really have to magnify it. I'm storing original, and all you PP masters can have a go at it. (And Captain C, since this was just for fun and at no cost, I can trash the photo, but can it be saved?"

I believe from your post that you are mostly wanting to decrease the size of the nose. I have Portrait Professional and it gives you that ability. I have increased the size of the eyes and decreased the size of the nose and balanced the highlights and shadows a little. I can not do anything about not have a defusing screen but the photo does look a little better.

The background was the one issue that you requested help with. It is time consuming, but do able in Photoshop. You select the lady's image with any of the selection tools, next click on refine edge at the top right. There you perfect the edge with available tools, once you are happy, click decontaminate in the output panel and make sure that in the drop down box it has New Layer With Mask. Pick any background that you like and paste it in below the new layer. You can still make correction by clicking on the mask icon and use the paint brush with black and white colors selected in the foreground and background panel at the lower left.

I tried to remove some of the signs of age and dressed up her eyes and lips. It did not turn out as good as I had hoped, but I thought it might give you some ideas as to what can be done.

I used a soft box on top of my camera, and her neck came out green, no flash, what happened? I also used a continuos light umbrella to the side, no mounted flash on my camera. What did I do wrong?

I have recently had problems with skin tones and found this tutorial on how to fix the uneven tones.

As you can see from the image below it works.

Would love to see what any of your post processors could do to "fix" this bunch of lillies. One of my favorite photographs but needs some "POP" added or converted into something the processing wizards can do to make it stand out a bit from the crowd.

Hi Ian;

You have a beautiful picture with out any processing, but I tried to make the flowers stand out and keep the reds, greens, yellows and show tone variations in the whites. I was successful too a degree.

All efforts greatly appreciated.
