I hope you get a chance to go there. You'll love it!
It's a nice ride to the island!
Anytime you go you'll have a great time!
My wife and I found that mid October is the time we like best. If you can go mid week you avoid the crowds and the island hotel prices are cheaper.
It's a great place to visit!!
The Grand is wonderful but I like the Pink Pony bar in the Chippawa.
You're right! Not a lot of changes.
My wife and I took a Fall trip to Mackinac Island. The Island has no motorized vehicles except for public safety. Transportation is by horse drawn carriage, bicycle or walking. Visitors come from all across the U.S. to sample locally made fudge as well as to go back in time. Locals refer to visitors as "fudgies" or "trolls"- terms used for those of us who live "under" (south of) the Mackinac Bridge.

On a recent outing to Greenfield Village, in Dearborn, MI, I stopped into the glass blowing shop. It was the hottest day of the summer here at about 95. Inside the temperature, according to the thermometer on the wall, was 118. I stayed long enough to get a couple of shots and then left for the much "cooler " outside.

Thanks Carolina. The bird sat longer than the grand kids ever have!
Thanks Mike. I appreciate it.
I usually photograph the grandkids and family events. Just thought I'd try something new.
