I've used some kind of camera since I was a kid. More recently, I became a crazy, birding-photography hobbyist and took the plunge to buy the Canon 500 mm F4L II lens. I've also bought some other "L glass" and enjoy using those lenses.

For an older singles group to which I belong, I run a monthly photography club meeting for a small group - about 5 - 8 people. I teach techniques I've learned both for composition and camera/lens use and settings.

I give an assignment each month and recently have been choosing from the Ugly Hedgehog topics. The most recent topic we used was "100 steps."

I've learned plenty from running this club and of course am still an amateur. Photography is a wonderful hobby and I'm very happy for its opportunities to learn and improve!
