I'm still using Aperture because it still works fine and I haven't found anything else to match it's organizing system, for me anyway. But just in case Aperture does suddenly stop working, make sure your iPhotos library is backed up to Photos

No, I got the first version of the Canon 300mm 2.8 and with an extender, I'll have the reach of a 600 if needed, so decided to go that route

Selling my copy of the Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD Lens for Canon (first version). Original box, both lens caps and hood are included. I'm also including a third-party JVC case I got specifically for this lens, so the lens fits perfectly inside. Lens is in great shape and I've included a couple of shots taken with it (the Little League photo was just a couple of weeks ago).

$675 shipping included. PayPal preferred, but other methods of payment considered. Thanks!

I have rented the latest version of the Canon 300mm 2.8 lens. I love it -- pretty much the best lens I've ever used -- but can't afford or justify its $6,000 price tag. So I started looking at the earlier versions, and decided to grab a nice copy of the first version which doesn't have IS for about a fourth of what the latest would cost. I've only been able to use it a couple of times, but am impressed with the results so far.

I'm curious what programs others here are using to run their small photography business. Thanks in advance for any input provided!

at the end of the day, I've found the Amazon Basics line fits most of my needs. The price points are unbelievable. I own the sling, the regular size backpack, and the bigger backpack, with an orange interior, and I use them all depending on the shoot and what I want to carry. You can find better bags out there, for sure, but not as the prices here.

Asking $175 shipped. This has been a classic photojournalist's bag for a long, long time and one you don't see offered for sale often. This is the Chronicle version of this bag, is in near perfect shape, and is a gorgeous, comfortable bag. Link to the Domke site is below for more information.

I just went up on a half-hour open-window helicopter ride over the Sacramento area. I didn't bring up my Tamron 150-600, but I would recommend against it as my Canon 70-200 was buffeted around when I stuck it out the window, so I found myself using the 24-70 2.8 almost exclusively.

yes, there's no rain in the summer so everything does turn brown around here but the difference the last few years was strips like in front of the Capitol weren't being watered at all
