Richard,
Please explain how a mona4rchy is mob rule.
Thank you.

I have already given you the answer in another of the progressive educators post. A pure democracy is actually the monarchy of of a large group of v**ers and that group need not be most intelligent. Take a look at several of our largest cities that elect leaders that are basically and clearly unfit for office, AOC and the Mayor of NYC are a good example.

What you actually mean is that you cannot defend your position.
I understand.

I understand that you do not understand what I write, we have remained civil so let's leave it that way. It is getting close to your bed time, sweet dreams.

So my leaping friend, What exactly do you want?
It sounds like you want an autocracy, because you certainly don't want a democracy where the citizens decide what they want.
Who would make those decisions? You? One of your ilk? Or do you only allow Republicans to decide, or better yet, old white men without college degrees?

I want a Democratic Republic as we have, in a pure democracy the poor will v**e the party or person that promises the most entitlements, this grows a party of takers not contributors who cast their v**e with abandon only to keep the entitlements rolling in.

It is much more involved but we don't have time to dig into it.

Are you suggesting the P**********l winner shouldn't be the one with the most v**es?

It should be the one with the most E*******l College v**es. States use the majority rule and you can clearly see it's fallacy in many of the poorer states.

Your thinking cap is malfunctioning, IMHO, lol

My thinking is working fine, can you name a nation using a pure democracy as it’s form of government.

WTF? LOL "A strict majority rule is no better than than a Monarchy in many ways?"
Monarchy... one person. Majority many people.
Where do you come up with your conclusion?

I turn on my thinking cap, something the educated progressives don’t own because they are told what to think.

Sorry but while you were dancing, you jumped the shark.
The very foundation of a democratic society is that the majority of the citizens decide the direction that the country goes in.
Would you prefer a
dictatorship, because that's the way you sound?

Surely you are fantasizing.

Yikes... "A strict Majority rule is unwanted..." WTF??? LOL

A strict majority rule is no better than than a Monarchy in many ways. You being an educator should be aware of that. Folks that live in the inner Agrarian part of this nation would little or no say in the P**********l e******n, The EC was designed to give more say to those that live away from the major population centers. I look it as an e******n of the states, each state gives it v**es to the majority winner in that state, the states being given an amount of v**es based on the number of it’s Representatives and Senators.

Both states have only two senators, so they have an equal voice there.

How about Maine it has 2 senators but how mant Representatives as compared to major cities on the coasts, cities that have have a larger population than many of the inner states.

Any doubters on the purpose of the EC need to retake middle school classes in civics.

A democracy relies on the majority rule.
That's the way our founding fathers designed it.
Of course you could take a look at minority rule to see its success.
Why dont you start with N**i Germany, China, Russia, Iraq and a few others.
Is that what you want?

A Democracy is dangerous as it creates an underclass situated in the minority. States with small populations actually have little say in a pure Democracy. Idaho is an example with a population of 2 million while California boasts 40 million.

Leave the e*******l college in place.
But all states should award their e*****rs proportional to popular v**e congressional district by congressional district with the remaining two to overall winner.

This is a state decision not federal government. Nebraskas does it this way already .

No constitutional or any federal action needed.

Then just throw away the EC and revert to popular v**e, the EC was devised to allow lower population states a more equal voice in the P**********l race.

The Government is for we the people, all the people and not just the Majority. A strict Majority rule is unwanted as it brings with it a crap load of prejudice against the minority.

I think that the bigger issue is most states have a "winner take all method."

That was the idea behind the EC, If we proportion our e*******l v**e by the popular v**e for each state we are simply destroying the purpose of the EC and reverting to popular v**e.
