You Folks looking for an all around lens should have bought a bridge camera and saved money.

The problem with bridge cameras is the small sensor.I have been shooting Panasonic bridges since the FZ15 and can
confirm the size of the sensor is a large drawback. (I have learned to shoot within their limitations, to get excellent results.)
To get a decent sized sensor you have to take it up a notch to a DSLR.
There is one exception I know of , Cannon G1X with a sensor about 6 times as large as the average bridge.
Come to think about it it may be what the doctor ordred. :-D

There is a random number generator in Excel. Put "=RAND()" in a cell and it will create a number between zero and one. Hit recalc and it will generate a new number between zero and one.

The Nikon engineers discovered this function some years ago and use it in the formula "=CONCATENATE("D",INT(1/RAND()))" to come up with their new model numbers.

Aha ! Suspicions confirmed ! :D

Lots of good suggestions for ya here Jerry, but personally on rainy days I mix up a hot toddy and play with macros on my tabletop studio. :D

I often say the best thing about PP is not being restrained by reality.
If you don't have to please a client, go where your vision takes you.

May we see some of your work ?

Think of it as a disposable camera that is reusable.
Probably the same image quality.

The largest negative about bridge cameras is the small senor size which affects image quality especially noise in low light/long exposure situations. I shoot a Panasonic bridge and get excellent quality macros and well lit scenes, but the noise in other situations is disheartening.
I have saving up for a Canon G1X. A pricey bridge camera with a large sensor that should fill my needs and maybe your as well.

Great play on words in the title.

Synchronicity :
The experience of two or more events that are apparently causally unrelated or unlikely to occur together by chance, yet are experienced as occurring together in a meaningful manner.

A once in a lifetime shot.
Congratulations on being ready for it.
Keep shootin'
