That's an excellent photo, the only thing I would do would be get rid of that little branch that is hanging down in the center. That's a distraction otherwise it is excellent.

I used to be there. I'm glad I am here and you are there. I remember how cold it would be when you would see those things, even your big winter coat wasn't enough.

Yea well it was me in the backyard in a snowbank at -4 when I shot it. Stay warm and thank you for the critique. Now all I have to do is figure out how to get rid of the branch.

Thanks, can't find it on their regular web site. Looks like a great operation founded in 1914

Super bunch of folks over there. You will not be sorry if you do business with them as they have always treated me well - but then I am old and senile too, lol.

Just went to Natl Camera. Searched Flash and only Nikon listed is SB-910. Wanted to check because Nikon's lowest authorized price is $326.95. Could you send me the link. Like to run it by Nikon. Thanks

Nat'l Camera Exchange in Minnesota (they are a Nikon Authorized Dealer)?? Have the ad in front of me right now showing WAS 329.99 and after INSTANT REBATE of 30.00 NOW price of 299.99. Bought mine last year under the same arrangement-looks like it is a yearly Christmas thing.

Nikon SB 700 ( $326.95 at B & H)... Nikon speedlights are your best bet as they offer more compatibility with Nikon DSLR's than the off brands. Sure, you can find cheaper alternatives, but they won't have the same functionality...It's a good idea to use a speedlight off camera though, like on a bracket at least.

National Camera in Minn has the SB700 on sales for $ 299.99. I have that flash and it works great for my needs.

I'm looking for a rather inexpensive flash unit to use with my Nikon D-7100 and was wondering what folks might have to say about the Nikon D-400. I want one I can use off-camera for things like flash fill, bounce light, etc. There is no portrait work or large indoor set-ups that require sophisticated lighting. Based on my limited use of flash, I'm having a hard time justifying $400 for the D-600. Is there a brand/model other than Nikon that I might look at? My primary requirement is that I be able to use it off-camera. I realize the D-400 is less powerful but I'm not doing groups or large rooms filled with people. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You might want to look at the SB700 which is on sale for $ 299.99 at National Camera. Great flash and you will not be disappointed

Is that an m42 mount for the 35mm f2? What condition is it in?

The lenses apear to be in good shape and were mounted on a Pentax Spotmatic if that helps. They have UV filters on them so I would believe the glass is in good shape.

Douglas High School - HS out at Ellsworth AFB outside of Rapid City (yep, GI brat here). We have to invite the entire 1960's to get enough folks to show up for a reunion, lol. Live in a southern berb for the TC's. Take care and keep posting - good stuff.
