There isnt a bad time to go to Yosemite each season has its own Beauty.I have been lucky to see the park many times in differnt seasons and each time I go I find something new to shoot plctures of. I think that you need to spend more then a couple of days there to apparticte it.I hope my next trip is the 6 day horseback ride into the back country. thanks for a wonderful tour.

I have found it easy to explore the areas near where you live if you take one day or one w/e a month grab your camera and explore.being single when I was between jobs I would pack my van and visit other states close by.if it was summer I would go camping or w/w rafting if it was winer I would find a ski club who was going to a place I wanted to visit and go skiing and shoot pictures.this is how I saw Yosemite in winer the first time and many of the areas of the Colorado area also spent a week in Baniff Canada. But if I had to choose 3 I would go to Glaciar National Park the U.S side and the Canadian side I would W/W raft the whole lenth of the Grand Canyon again and I would take a train trip thru the Canadian Rockies.or get A RV and explore the U.S at a snails pace.

I have the AW100 Nicon and love it .I use it for w/w rafting and skiing. it is a great camera and also has about 15 different settings you can shoot with it also has hd video and gps it costs about 300.00. w/p to 33ft. also shockproff check it out I think you will like it.

I saw that 1954 nomad when I was at Hot Augest Nights in 2004 I fell in love with it . there are so manny beautiful cars there you go crazy trying to shoot pictures of them all. I was shooting film at that time and must have shot 10 rolls that weekend I was there. cant wait to get up there again.

I still use my minolta xg1 and a nicon n60. I havent had any trouble finding film here in San Diego or someplace to get it developed.I just got into digital and really like the immediate feedback it offers.

stop at the vistors center and get a map of the whole area it will make it a lot eaiser to get around or you can get maps and information at any of the casinos.also there is a Railroad Museum in Carson City and Virgina City is outside of carson city.you can call lake tahoe vistorsauth.at 1800 at tahoe and they will send you a whole package of the whole area.

take an afternoon cruise on the old paddlewheel Tahoe Queen you can have dinner on the boat and get some great pictures of the lake at the same time .

get the book Photosecrets San Francisco & Northern California by Andrew Hudson it will tell you everything you need to know about that area.Where to go to get the best pictures and how to get them. It is agreat book check it out you wont regret it. Have fun on your trip.
