My brother and I went to Amherst Island on Lake Ontario and we were lucky enough to find 17 Long-eared Owls all roosting in the same tree that day. These Owls were buried so deep in the branches that it was impossible to get a clear shot. The best part of the experience was that all the photographers respected the birds enough that we never left the road to get a shot but just got what we could and enjoyed the simple fact that we got to witness this.

Was playing around with my Olympus E-M1 with the 75-300 ii one day at my brothers on a rainy November day thru the back patio door and all things considered I really like how these two shots turned out.

The only problem is that it is black and it was starting to get dark down there and from where I was I am not sure I would have gotten a great shot of it. Maybe once we get rid of snow here I will venture back down that way and see about shooting it.

I have only tried the stand alone version as I do not use Photoshop. I have not seen enough improvement in the photo to bother using it and I have also not seen it slow my pc down when processing anything yet. I tend to use Faststone to edit all my photos just because the biggest feature it has I want is the ability to compare up to 4 shots in the same frame to determine which one is the best of the photos I have taken. Now Topaz AI I do find useful once in a while if I have had to shoot at to high an ISO and I want some noise gone from the photo

I never thought of it till just now to the left of that building down in the left corner with the red roof is the HMCS OJIBWA a Canadian cold war submarine on display to the public. I should have taken another shot and stitched them together to include it.

There are just some days where you are not looking for a photo but you just happen to turn for some reason and the photo is right there staring at you. This happened tonight as we were leaving the beach disappointed that there was no open water in sight from shore so there was going to be no chance to see any eagles on the ice.

Thanks
Well this lighthouse you are not able to get water or rocks as it is actually between a quarter of a mile and a half mile away from the harbour entrance. It is on the top of a hill and it is probably 200 feet above the water level. I just happened to look over see the red and yellow on the buildings and it framed well so I took the shot.

I was originally using an Olympus E-M1 that was why I bought the Olympus 75-300 ii instead of the Panasonic 100-300. Plus there was almost 300 dollars difference in the price between the two. I have absolutely no complaints with the lens, it is tack sharp it is quick to focus. My grandparents came to Woodstock in 1923 from the Chesterfield/Nottinghamshire area in England. My dream is to head back over that way someday as there are still family members over there and I truly wish to see the area.
The only reason I switched to the Panasonic g85 instead of the Olympus E=M1ii was the fact it was about 700 dollars plus difference in price and I also used the Panasonic FZ300 so was use to the Panasonic menu.

Your most likely right removing both of them would likely help but I can't really be bothered with much post processing, honestly I'm just to lazy and don't want to learn the software, I use Faststone a bit
