Been using Topaz Sharpen AI for a few days now. First of all it's not the cure to all ills. It is quick and easy as a PS plugin. Unfortunately it is so processor intensive and any time savings is eaten up by the time it takes to process the image.
If you are good with your PP software it will probably not interest you. For us down on the learning curve it is probably a good crutch and a learning tool. Crutch as it allows me to keep some images I would otherwise discard because my PS skills are not to that level yet. Learning tool because I know PS can do this much and more and I can use my Sharpen AI image to compare against.
Here are a before and after Sharpen AI comparison.
Interesting ! ......thanks for sharing

I have only tried the stand alone version as I do not use Photoshop. I have not seen enough improvement in the photo to bother using it and I have also not seen it slow my pc down when processing anything yet. I tend to use Faststone to edit all my photos just because the biggest feature it has I want is the ability to compare up to 4 shots in the same frame to determine which one is the best of the photos I have taken. Now Topaz AI I do find useful once in a while if I have had to shoot at to high an ISO and I want some noise gone from the photo
I think the results here are really incredible. I would have to compare the Topaz results with what could be accomplished with the normal tweaks available in LR and PS, but what I see above is really impressive. And if it takes a while to run, you just use it when you really need it...and get a cup of coffee.
