Nothing great! Just wanted to share this place!

poor girl needs some new jeans... Funny story... my nephew bought jeans with holes and while my mom whas staying with my sister last year during her chemo she was doing some laundry etc.. she finds these jeans... so she is preparing to repair them and patch them... my nephew runs in the sewing room and snatches them from my mom and tells her he paid for them like that... my poor mom was bewildered...

Annette, love the story about the jeans with holes. Bet she's not the only Grandma who has thought they needed patching.

yes holy jeans--I will never figure that one out! I too offer to patch my grand daughters and they let me know I better not! Then a friend did ask me to do some patching for him [ 2 nasty crotch rips] and I tried to tell him holes were in style---he is over 50 and did not fall for it--I really don't like patching

I am soooo far behind I can never catch up on this challenge. I have looked at all the beautiful snow and ice shots...I LOVE them but won't even attempt to comment on them all. And little Alivia...what a beautiful baby. I loved seeing her again. And I cannot believe she is walking...that doesn't seem possible. She is a little doll baby, Sher.
I've been gone from home quite a bit either going with Steve or his mom to doctor appts. (gone again today and gotta go again tomorrow) and also in Alabama this weekend watching "Powerhouse" (the Show Chior Group Cheyenne is in) compete. Boy, all the kids put on quite a show!!! On the way home I stopped and took a few pics of these old buildings...this is what winter looks like around here right now....

I bet listening and watching Cheyenne was great..... Wonder when life slows down so we can catch our breath.......... Nice shots of those old cabins, or whatever they are.... Just started snowing here.....

I don't know but I am ready for it to slow down just a little bit...there don't seem to be nearly enough hours in a day. Wish it would snow here just a little bit and stay on the ground for a few days. I would love that. The few times it has snowed here it only stays on the ground a few hours. And that has only happened 3 or 4 times that I can remember. And yes, I love watching Cheyenne sing & dance....she puts her heart in it. You can tell how much she loves it just by watching her! I loved seeing Alivia again. She is beautiful...I can't believe how much she has grown. Oh, watched the video too....soooo cute those sweet wobbly steps.

I always thought that when I got older my life would slow down a bit.... I think I am busier now than I was years ago...or maybe just moving slower :-(

Spectacular photos everyone!! Thanks Pat and MG for hosting.

Drove home today from an overnight trip to ND and drove through fog and mist. Roads were wet but snow in the driveway when we pulled in. More snow in the forecast for tomorrow morning.

where did you visit in ND? not a wintertime destination for many!

I have a filter called a warming filter that I have used on the red rocks and fall colors--do you think that is about the same as what you are using MT? Or I might want to be buying one like yours before my trip....this filter has a slight orange color to it

I have given up my quest for beautiful winterscapes in my area, and I am immensely grateful that Pat so graciously started this challenge with her incredible photos of a snowy Maine winter! All of the photos submitted so far have been so incredible and it's been great fun to experience winter through your eyes.

It is chilly and cloudy today, and I am showing you my winter from our screened-in back porch and the kitchen bay window. Several of you guys might enjoy what my Husband has been up to ~ building his dream barn since September. Right now it is a pole barn to shelter all HIS toys. It will eventually have bay doors on the front and back, and another room off each side. Today's project is trenching for a water line that runs parallel to the electric line he put in last Thursday and Friday! We live on 9 acres that slopes down to a creek. It all looks scruffy right now, but hopefully the land will be restored to its natural beauty by Spring!

wow - he was moving right along wasn't he. Good project - does he have help? Nice shots of the progress. :-)

It's been awesome, Cricket (almost slipped up on the name - Lol!). He has had a lot of help prior to the trenching. A guy in our Church who cuts trees for a living came and laid down several healthy tall pines that another guy chose, who has a saw mill. They brought the saw mill on site and cut our own wood for nothing. Then, we bought the metal and a guy in the Church who has a roofing company came and put the metal roof on for nothing. We had a grader who came and and worked for nothing. I mean we tried to pay them all and they insisted on donating their time. We've been very blessed!

Thanks All, comments all noted, one good thing is the trip is organised by a British Pro photographer who runs this trip every year and knows his way around the area (me that doesn't), now looking very much forward to it, I'll post some pictures once I get back.

have a great time--I am making my 3rd trip to Utah the first of April and am very excited about it

hello everyone--we returned from our winter escape cruise last night. We had a great time even though they ended up changing our itinerary at the last minute due to a ship problem and we ended up at 2 different islands than originally planned. So we did not get to snorkel or ride horse on the beach--will just have to go another time to cross those things off the bucket list! While we were gone there were some 50 below wind chills here--so planned that just right! I don't think my blood has thickened up enough yet to go out and take some photos today, but I am enjoying all of yours.

Closest thing to winter here. No snow on ground.

I thought I might go out with my camera tonight when the storm starts...then I read that you fell Pat. Who would find me if that happens maybe I better think that through.

you don't have snow on the ground in Michigan in January??! Wow. And pat fell? I missed that! Are you okay Pat?

p29 Yes, first part of January. Sprained a wrist and my new knee wasn't damaged at all (pays to buy expensive parts I guess - Ha Ha!) - nothing major. Don't even want to think "what if" so I won't or I'd never do anything.
