There are some on the forum who list in their profile all the gear they own, D800s etc, is this snobbery, after all who needs to know really

Eg

Nikon D800E, D800, D7100, D7000, D5100, D3200, F5, N90s, S6100. Canon 6D, 7D amd 60D. Couple of Pentax 645's. More glass than I can carry at once

As a beginner, I like seeing what equipment other people have. That way, if I have a specific question about a function of my gear, I can send a private message to someone who has the exact same equipment.

I took this same picture about 10 minutes earlier, and it was fairly dull. But then the sun started setting and cast a nice warm glow.

Details: Nikon D3100, 18-55mm kit lens, f/29 @1/3 sec, ISO 100. Post (Nikon View/NX2)-- Picture control changed to vivid, EV -0.4 and added a little contrast and color boost.

Hello Robert -- check out Beacon Hill. I went on a photo walking tour there through http://www.photowalks.com. They did a wonderful job and have several tours available.
