Nice set. I like the Azalea shot best.

Thank you. The lens did a great job. I keep taking different lenses out because I have a habit of always using the same one, trying to force myself to try the others that I use less often.

Our weather a couple of days ago produced fog and ice on the trees. It was cold, but really pretty. Kinda mystical.

Ooo-wee, that looks cold! But pretty.

Nice and bright in Florida!

Yes, we have had great weather most of the winter. Getting a cold blast at the moment and our bottom floor heater went on the blitz..perfect timing!

The second shot I posted in this thread has the youngest I have had any real contact with. Did you bottle feed them?

Eye dropper. Got a formula from the pet store, used a heating pad to keep them warm. Some were so small the eyes were not open and not all of them made it, most that I raised already had the eyes open though and did great.

What is the best length lens for something like this? My available choices in the longer range would be 24-105 f4, 100 macro f2.8, or the 70-200 f2.8.

I live in a subdivision that is designated as a Bird Sanctuary. My yard backs up to a small road and we have a tree border with a privacy fence. I try to be creative in my use of non-traditional bird feeders and have a good variety of birds. I usually keep my camera on a tripod pointed at the feeders and use a wired remote on my D7200. I'm using a 150-600mm lens.

Love these!

I have had some unusual experiences with squirrels also. This little guy lost his mother and was anxious to bond with any warmblooded animal. Humans included. I handed my cell to a friend to get this shot.

I have raised a few of these from birth.

One of three deer showing up in our front yard this morning in York Maine. This is a shot of one of the young ones. March is a great time to spot deer around here so I'll have to be ready. Sorry if the pics are a bit fuzzy, I shot them through a window. Hope you enjoy this little guy/gal.

Even if the choice were limited to just this forum the decision to pick “one” would be tough enough...but I have often thought the one person I would love to shoot with is Mike Black. Mike has treated us with the results of his talent in thousands of posts, and somehow maintained an almost humble gratitude the we’ve “liked” them. Without question there is a lot of refined talent displayed on these pages that deserve credit, but Mike is as good as I’ve seen.

I do like your name -- I too am Snaphappy!
