I have been photographing construction of a new bridge for a couple of years. On this particular day, I had the wrong lens on my camera, so four images are stitched together from a 100mm macro lens. I was pleasantly surprised at the results. I hope you enjoy.
I think the coloration on immature herring gulls is rather striking, although many immature birds have similar colors. I suppose it is camouflage for nesting birds. Herring gulls are large winter visitors to our area, and the last photo shows a size comparison to laughing gulls. I hope you enjoy.
