Happy Holidays to all my fellow hogs, enjoy the day!
Love your Lilies, Happy Holidays!
Hi all, just a quick update. My collar came off, which was a relief, but to date no improvement in any area except now I have a stiff neck to boot. Maybe time will help, I hope so. I was so excited to think I might be able to get out and do some foliage photography, but that never happened. I am now preparing for lower back surgery with the hope of some relief in that area, wish me luck.
Hi, I live in snow country in upstate NY, our Winters quite severe with heavy snows and sub zero temps. I have been using my Leica M series under these conditions and never had a problem, every thing works perfectly. I'm not saying you will have problems with your Nikon or Canon, I'm sure they will all get the job done. Just relating my experience. Good luck, have fun.
I fractured my vertebrae in a fall and had to have C3 to C6 fused due to compession taking place. Thanks all for encouragement, feeling better with each day.
Hi all, had my neck surgery 2 weeks ago! Starting to feel some of the effects now, my balance seems to have returned and lower back much better. Still hoping for return of feelings in hands and perhaps my legs will improve some. Another 4 weeks with this dam collar and maybe I can get out and do some shooying.
I still have the original on LP Record album called the synphonism of Swing. Great album with all the greats of the 40s!
Shot this a while ago, was at the tail end of a storm.
I dont like the Zeiss glass, they take good images but quality really sucks. My first experience was was the 28mm on my M8, slightly after mounting lens on my camera I noticed a wobble while focusing after about an hour it practically disintegrated in my hand, the whole back element disengaged from lens. I returned lens and they repaired it, but it happened 2 more times before they gave me a refund. Since then only leica glass, have lenses over 50 years old and still like new.
Thank you all so much. I would so love to get back to my photography. It's been 2 years since my fall and the Hope's of getting better without the surgery have diminished completely. This surgery, if it goes well will ease the pain in my upper body, restore my balance and put some feeling back in my hands. Next they can do my lower back to get me walking right, life really sucks these days.
I'm sorry I haven't been on much, my back and neck have gotten much worse. My Neurologist is in the process of scheduling surgery for my neck. It seems my spinal column is closing up causing me much pain and disrupting my balance which is making it hard for me to walk. Hoping all goes well so I can shoot more photos and maybe get my desktop up and running again. Be back soon, I hope! Well wishes to you all.
