On our photo wall are 8 canvas prints 5 taken with a d850 and 3 with a Canon SX 50...you will have a hell of a time getting me to give up that little 12mp.

I have found Shutterfly a very good place for photobooks. I put my book together and save it in "My Projects", then I wait until they put photobooks on sale and then order.

I like shutterfly. Fast and well done. I have used them on 3 books with excellent results.

I have a d850 and Tam 150-600. I've tried the teleconverter for BIF and it slows down focusing by a lot. Mybe I don't have the right technique...There are many other situations that will cause slower acquisition...sky, light, foreground, background speed of BIF...but the 850 will focus and fire as fast as I've ever needed.

Wide angle to get as much of the room in the shot as possible.
Agreed - It makes the rooms look deceptively larger than they are.

So evident when looking at sailboat cabins...the illusion created is so different from reality.

80 mm lens on the eagle is simply asking too much of the lens and camera. Your dof didnt help matters. Know the limits of the equipment.

If you are going mirrorless, wait for the appropriate Z mount zoom.

If you are shooting with an F mount lens (or want to use an adapter) the Nikon 500mm F/5.6 is a reasonably affordable option. Hang onto the 200-500 for when you really need a zoom.

Sticking mostly with F mount bodies, when I get back into the field for wildlife the Nikkor 500mm F/5.6 and the Nikkor 300mm F/4.0 will be my most used lenses. The D500 and D850 are still my favorite bodies.

Nikons f mount bodies are some of the best cameras in the world. I see no reason to go out and chase mirrorless.

I have been considering a Potoshop subscription...I don't care about Lightroom.
I see they doubled their price. I have been using Element for a long time.
Does anyone have CS6 for sale anymore? I no longer want a subsription.

Consider PS the best lens you can buy. Is $10 or $12 a month worth a lens that would do all that Photoshop can do?

I volunteer as a photographer at a rescue shelter. You would be sickened by the poor animals that come in from some of these puppy mills. Starving, inbred, disease infected and worse. You must see the puppy, check it’s vet records and registration. You want a feeling that will haunt you for a very long time? Buy a puppy like this under questionable conditions and even if you do actually get the puppy have to euthanize it in 4weeks because there was an undisclosed condition.
