You're probably going to notice a difference: the R3000 uses pigmented ink, while the Pro-100 uses dye-based ink. Print longevity will be less, but most of the colors will seem to be more saturated, particularly on glossy paper.

thanks for commenting. I am glad to hear you like it I have had my Epson for years and the only problem I have had is the head getting plugged. I can not afford to spend the money to get the head clean all the time.
You said it has a heated head. Is it best to leave it on all the time?

canon pixma 100

I just ordered a canon pixma 100 to replace my Epson r3000 that dyed. b & h had it for $379.99 with a $250.00 rebate and free shipping. just wondering how many are using this printer and how they like it. I loved the Epson but the head got plugged, got it working after about $300.00 in ink. worked for a couple week and plugged agin.
