My Canon 5D4 separated from my lens twice in one day and it cost me about $500 to have the rear screen repaired. With a large telephoto lens (400 or 600) attached to my Black Rapid sling by the lens foot, the camera body was free to fall if it separated. Regardless of how it happened, my solution was to attach a cord from the lens to the camera as a backup. Of course, with the cord attached the lens and camera haven't separated again. I'm using a Sony a7R4 now with the same backup cord attached, even though the release button on the Sony is placed out of the way more than the Canon.

Another market is Art Morris at http://www.birdsasart-blog.com/used-photography-gear-for-sale/. He takes a commission on top of what you might lose to the payment method. But, you gain access to a group of customers that know the high-end equipment and actively shop. Art coaches on pricing to maximize the likelihood of sale, where some items will last for hours or minutes. I bought my 300 f/2.8L used from this site.

I recently sold my Canon 600mm f/4 II, 1.4 III and 2.0 III TC's, and Canon 400 DO f/4 through Art's site and they all sold within 2 days. I used the cash to buy Sony a7Riv and Sony 200-600. I paid shipping (about $300) and paid Art 5%. Very good service with knowledgeable buyers.

I'm using a Sony aR7iv + 1.4 TC + 200-600mm lens, which in crop mode is 1260mm. I haven't tested how far I can push the limits, but I'm handholding 1260mm at SS of 800 or sometimes less with excellent results. The lens OSS plus the IBIS works together, but I'm not sure what the numbers are.

Not with the 2x.

The Canon 400 DO works great with the 2.0 TC III

Just download Blackmagic's Davinci Resolve... It's pro software used by Hollywood makers and there is a free version limited to 1080P

Don't pay for what's free...

I have been using Resolve and it is excellent. There is also Photoshop which has fewer features than Resolve but would have a much less steep learning curve if you are already using it for your stills.

I've had very good luck selling my gear through Birds As Art. They only charge 5%. I just sold a Canon 600mm and 400mm lens in 2 days with several other serious buyers missing out to the "early birds". Once the check clears the bank I send the items to the buyer. Very simple, safe and economical. I get my Sony a7Riv and 200-600mm lens tomorrow, so I'm

Bill de,
I stand corrected. My wife who is an expert birder, she’s been birding now for 45 years, and when I showed her the pictures she said the hairy is a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker. A good bird to have at your feeder.
Thanks for helping our feathered friends get through the winter.

I agree with your wife!

I found this:
Motor-only e-bike operation is still not allowed on national parks' bike paths. E-bike riders must be pedaling in order to ride them on federal nonmotorized trails. In other words, exercise is still required.

You are legally limited to 20mph on an e-bike when riding on public streets in the U.S. (kinda strange because you can go quite a bit faster on a pedal-powered racing bike if you are relatively fit... and you can go faster on the e-bike if you have the legs and lungs for it).

I'm 72 and have a 25 lb. ebike and I get as much of a workout as anyone on a pedal-only bike... and I enjoy it more by being able to ride more hills and go a little faster and farther. My concern about mixing bike riding and photography is the risk of a crash. I've had many crashes from my estimated 250,000 miles on a non-ebike... none too serious and my conclusion is a crash isn't an "if" but rather a "when"... and I'm not ready to be forced into buying new camera gear.

I'm in the "it's never too much reach" camp. My favorite setup is a 5D4 with 600 f4 + 2.0TC (1200mm); if hiking more, I'll choose a 400 DO f4 + 1.4TC or 2.0TC... usually a tripod with the 600. I started with the 7D2 + 100-400 II which was very good, but didn't quite do it for me so I went whole hog so that I couldn't blame it on the gear.

When photographing tiny birds they usually don't fill the frame so recomposing is done with the crop tool.
