We recently visited Bethlehem, PA to visit some friends. The old Bethlehem Steel Company facilities have been transformed to the National Museum of Industrial History. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. I have attached photos that I took in the Museum itself. In a separate post, I will include photos taken of the old steel plant; a massive facility.
I should have taken photos of the identifying signs but failed to do that.

Its responses like this that make people want to move on to other hobbies or at least abandon the UHH. The OP just said here is his collection and you might be interested...he didn't ask about value, donating, quality, or anything else. Would you say all this in person to someone you just met? Probably not.

To the OP...I am not a collector, but a few of your cameras brought forth a few memories of childhood and earlier years. Magic cubes? I remember those well and have a few shots illuminated by them. This kind of gear is what brought photography to the masses and sparked our hobby for what it is today...for better and worse.

I totally agree. There were many memories here. Thanks for sharing your collection.

Charge them well! Hospitals are making so much money these days. My "non-profit" hospital had board of directors approve a $12 million bonus for our CEO while he's still making $2 mil a year. All while the rest of us clinical people taking care of patients can barely afford to live. We can't hire any people because the pay is so poor compared to how expensive it is to live here in my town.

No offense, but "hospitals are making so much money these days..." is a gross over-generalization. There is a great variation in hospital incomes, particularly after the COVID pandemic. Many hospitals in small communities have closed because they could not bear the financial burden. Others, in major cities have substantial income and pay their executives well.

With regard to the nurse who wrote in, I would agree that whatever the financial condition of the hospital in which he works, at the very least, he should be reimbursed for all his out-of-pocket expenses. I can't imagine that the hospital administration would be offended if he requests that type of reimbursement.

Beautiful birds. I live in Maryland have never seen one in the wild! What am I doing wrong?

It's in the flash shoe; it's a finder so you can see a wider view and eliminate parallax.

I don't understand how a finder on top of the camera eliminates parallax. I would think it would increase it v. the built in rangefinder which is under the attachment.

The durability of SSDs is improving over time. In NORMAL use, there should be no issue. If you're going to keep one 90% full all of the time, you might get into trouble if you keep writing and rewriting to the same free space. I like the conventional wisdom of just putting the OS on an SSD and using a secondary drive for storage.

This is the system, my Wife's computer came with. Unfortunately, the SSC boot drive was only 128 GB and was mostly full. Apparently, after 4 years, it was running into problems. I found that a much larger replacement drive (500 GB) was only a few dollars more than a smaller drive. Hopefully, this one will last without problems.

I thank you for the reference to Clear Disk. It resulted in my checking my Wife's SSD which had a number of bad sectors. Everything I read suggested changing it sooner rather than later. I bought a new (much larger drive), cloned and installed it. Things are running fine now. Mine has about 40% of its life left and no bad sectors. I am planning to replace this 9 year old laptop this year, and that should happen before the drive's time is up.

I agree with @KTJohnson, Kelby is probably the definitive instructor. If you're into video/online tutorials, there are several I choose: Anthony Morganti, Serge Ramelli, Julieanne Kost, among them.

Another one for Kelby. I find his books very useful.

I just read about a similar tool that was highly recommended in a computer newsletter I receive (Ask Woody). They recommended "Clear Disk Info. The following is cut and pasted from the newsletter: "To examine the SMART information available from SSDs of different manufacturers, I used the freeware program Clear Disk Info (download from OlderGeeks.com). Figure 1 shows the full extent of the program's display, which contains comprehensive information and descriptions of each datum." The download link, which contains details about the program didn't paste. Here it is: https://www.oldergeeks.com/downloads/file.php?id=3300&mc_cid=7b93798aca&mc_eid=0e9d5e150f

I still like having it. When there is not a pandemic around, I love travel photography, and am too old to carry a lot of weight. The built in flash has come in handy when I find something in a dark church, old castle, etc. that needs a little extra lighting.

nomorobo works with VOIP (Verizon FIOS, Comcast, etc.) home phones and the service is free. They charge extra for cell phones.

I never answer the phone unless I know who the caller is.

We usually have done the same thing. It can cause problems though. We got a call last week from a number we did not recognize in a city where we did not know anyone. My wife quickly answered and hung up so she didn't have to listen to the phone ring. The next day, I got a message that an appliance store from which we had ordered a range 6 months before was trying to set up a delivery date, and they had called 3 times but the line got disconnected every time!

Love it. I am there every summer. You were very lucky to find a day with no haze. I have often found that problem in the summer.
