My sister & I used to stand on the board on the back of the drill and watch for blockage of the seed tubes and alert our father driving the tractor about that and tell him when to load more grain in the seed box.
Reminds me of the time years ago when the local health unit wanted restaurant staff to s^^t in a bag and sent it to them for testing. One owner replied he would do it if one of the health unit staff would hold the bag.
Is that a Hydro/Electric meter on the side of the building? Could be that's why not currently being used by the Amish.
I prefer Comic Sans for e-mails
Can't go wrong on Fremont Street. The canopy is a must see. We always stay at the Golden Nugget.
I expected a picture of an English gentleman. Cute photo.
I think I still have a set of OS2 3 1/2" floppies.
I bought my daughter a Ryobi 40 Volt blower to go along with the Ryobi 40 Volt Edger/Trimmer, I had previously got her. They use the same batteries, she loves them. I also just noticed that Ryobi makes a good sized snowblower that takes 4 of those batteries, but priced at $2400 Canadian, she will have to keep using her gasoline powered one.
Mouse/rodent, sticky/glue traps. They are illegal in most countries, as they should be. They are indiscriminate of victims. You would be hard pressed to image a more horrifying and soulless demise of its captives.
Simply Marvelous, Mind Boggling and any other superlatives that you can come up with.
Cursive is wonderful to behold if done with care. I grew up in the one room school days for the first 6 years and then transferred to a one room per class school. We were taught cursive. I am Historian of our Masonic Lodge whose records go back 177 years, written by many different men. Some have beautiful writing and some, if you didn't know the terms and meanings, would be next to impossible to decipher. I am in the process of digitizing them and typing the results so future members can at least know what was happening back then. I believe that cursive has gone by the wayside along with sticking your arm out the car window to signal your turn.
It was reported that a female reporter once asked Gordie Howe why he would wear a protective cup but didn't wear a helmet. Gordie told her that you could always pay someone to do your thinking for you.
When I bought a used Canon 5D III camera, I also bought a David Bucsh's guide to said camera, which I found to be excellent. It was not cheap or easy to find as it was out of print, but IMHO was well worth it. I bought it on eBay. It measures 7 1/2" wide x 9" tall.
As a former farm kid,I can attest My dad had an Allis Chalmers, pull type combine that had a 60", yes, 5' head with the bagger feature. My mom, 5'1" and maybe 110 lbs would be on the bagger area, fill and tie the bags and shove them down a chute to the ground to be picked up later. If I remember correctly a bag of oats weighted 60 lbs and a bag of wheat was 100 lbs . My parents were strong and used to hard work. Farmers are mostly independent folks and when their crops are ready, they want them harvested now, thus owning their own equipment was preferred.
