Excellent set of pictures!
But I was actually drawn to open the post to see "Some birds using the Canon RF 100-500 lens" while the lens came from South Texas! 🤣 (My English teacher would have asked that!)
Well, this one turned up as awesome! Great work!
Yes, she is a great musician. Have the album that song is on!
I bought a knockoff gimbal from eBay (not there now), but it is available now on Amazon. Cheap, but OK for my limited use so far. Use it with a Sigma 150-600mm C on my Z6.
The first thing I did though, was replace the grease in it and made it smoother to use...
No experience with any other gimbal - Wimberley or not, but works OK for me at under $100
I vote for yes, also. It makes cutting easier - especially multiple same size cuts, with a stop built in to the sled.

It's cold here in Florida. I almost had to put socks on with my sandals the other day!
I am in Florida (barely), but it will be 22 F here by morning....

Thanks, that 40+ lbs of gear was bound to build up those legs....
You might recognize this shot, looking up into the Fresnel lens from the access door, couldn't get any further back.....Cheers
And now 40 years later, I could still make the climb, but not with the extra weight!
Great shot of the fresnel lense!!
Great pictures of a very familiar place.
Back in the '80's I used to climb those narrow steps to the top, carrying a 40 lb radio service monitor and other equipment. The US Coast Guard had their VHF Hi Site for Coast Guard Station Jupiter on the top. I've got some old slides somewhere taken from there! I know I have one of the Fresnel lens.
They later moved the radio equipment to another (and taller) regular tower.

They have reported that he has died.
#5 Iis my favorite over an outstanding sequence. Super sharp and well captured!
I got one of these from a hogger in the group and very pleased with the lens. Using it on my Z6. Very sharp!
Our company (with over 8k employees) dumped Office, and went to Google. Before I retired, I found that it handled everything that I needed for spreadsheets, word docs, and powerpoint type stuff. All you need it a google account (free). All can ready Office files
I use Libre office for stuff I don't want google to store....
Was looking forward to try this sometime with my Z6 camera, but was given an opportunity to do it today.
One of the parishioners at church this morning had brought some Stations of the Cross chaplet rosary beads, that we were going to offer for sale - to raise a little money for the church. The priest wanted to put in our bulletin and Facebook page - with a picture. So perfect time to try this.
Each picture consisted of 10 raw files, and I used the Photoshop focus merge. Probably could have spent some time with exposure a little bit, but happy with the quick results.
