I have a simple set up and my images are well received. My work is high volume, all price ranges of homes, competitively priced photography and post processing done by companies I contract for, so not Architectural Digest. I use Nikon D7100, Nikon 10-24 mm, and SB 700 speedlite on hot shoe, sturdy tripod w Manfrotto 410 jr geared head for quick leveling. The speedlite is used with wide panel and diffusion attachment in place on TTLB setting, angled to bounce off ceilings. I also have a Graslon large dome diffuser for nice, soft even light but don't like how it causes the flash to flop when moving tripod. I adjust the flash power as needed. Depending on glare level can get some nice window pulls. Also do HDR for one company on all exteriors and as needed inside. 3 brackets and merge in Photomatix using natural fusion only, no tone mapping which can cause shadows and uneven wall and ceiling effects. I also use the exposure delay setting which lifts mirror first to prevent blur. U1 and U2 user settings for AEB bracketing, interior and exterior and change Iso as needed, otherwise manual inside, mostly aperture 7.1 to 8, ISO 125 to 400, shutter speed varies greatly. HDR can be quicker and the darker exposure for the window views works better for me if not too dark.

I have a chance to break into real estate photography. I need some suggestions for lighting equipment. I have read a lot about using mono lights and strobes. Got to be some UHH folks working real estate. What is a decent setup that doesn't require a mortgage to get. Shooting my D7200 and 3200 probably with a Tokina 11-16, Tamron 16-300 and possibly 35mm and 50mm primes. Lens sugestions also welcomed.

Not touching that one, still stinging from last week's D750.

My 2005 was also magenta, had it for 5 years then started downsizing, to a Kawasaki Vulcan 900, Honda Silverwing 600cc at same time, and now the Honda 700cc DN-01. The VTX was awesome, had an Ultimate seat for all day comfort. Never dropped it but have to admit occasionally felt a bit awkward for a petite lady, had to park carefully in order to lift off of the kickstand and couldn't back up on a slight slope very well. Handlebars were wide for me as well. Loved the torque, the sound and enjoyed having the bigger bike many times than the guys! It is a gorgeous motorcycle.

Fun topic! Here is my 10th and current ride. Phone pic, but would not be fair to send a professional bike photo from 17 years ago. Largest bike was a 2005 Honda VTX 1300. This motorcycle is unusual, a limited production model 2009 Honda DN-01, hybrid cruiser, scooter and sport bike and suits my riding style and physique better than a heavy cruiser. It is automatic, not CVT or DCT but a sophisticated HFT transmission. Was stupidly expensive new, in fact dealers said the name stood for Do Not Order 1. I test rode it in 2009 in Blairsville , Georgia and purchased one used in 2016 for half price with 3k miles. After riding it home and removing the trunk, the license plate frame was revealed 'Union Powersports, Blairsville, Georgia'. Each dealer only had ordered one, so it was the very same bike that I rode 7 years ago!

Same camera and lens combo as below. Not Architectural Digest but clients are very pleased with the photos. I also use Nikon SB700 speedlite with ttl bounce and diffuser and Manfrotto 410 jr geared head along with the camera's electronic level for quick leveling. Company does post processing but I strive for the best sooc image.

I utilize a Nikon 12-24mm DX lense on my D7100. It does a fine job and will work well for you. Use a tripod and keep the camera lense level to the ground, otherwise you will encounter a lot of distortion.

Hello UHHers,
I am the fortunate reciepient of Bob's generous offer. Have been mostly lurking here for awhile, reading and learning and enjoying the stunning images. I am a real estate photographer, do not do any post processing myself except for merging brackets in Photomatix. Only used cell phone for personal snapshots until now, having only had the Nikon 10-24mm lens for work and little time for hobbies other than motorcycling. Here are 2 sooc images with the Nikon 18-55mm from Bob. Bella had spent the previous day in the hospital from a stroke, possibly from falling off the bed. She is recovering remarkably but has a nuerological issue with front left leg. Napping man is DOexH, post New Years day. Waiting for photomatix now and then will post some landscape pics taken nearby.

Not only did a similar thing happen to my D7100 but the glue from the film lcd protector gunked up my menu button to the point it was completely stuck. The film was still on but the adhesive migrated out, probably from being transported the hot car. I did use alcohol, all is well now but my lcd is flying bare now, won't chance it again.

Hello Sharona, Is your lens offering the new AF-P Nikkor lens? I assume it is based on your description of the lens, in which case it is not compatible with the OP's Nikon D7000 body. Here is a quote from Nikon's own website: "AF-P lenses are not compatible with the D7000. Wide angle lenses that are compatible : AF-S DX NIKKOR 10-24 f/3.5-4.5G ED, AF-S DX Zoom Nikkor 12-24 f/4 If ED, AF-S NIKKOR 14-24 f/2.8G ED, AF NIKKOR 14mm F/2.8D ED".

Save yourself and the OP disappointment and frustration.
