If in doubt, I put camera in full auto and see what it's suggested settings are and use that as a reference. If I want a different f stop I can adjust exposure or ISo accordingly, and same for other settings. Or if I know I need a fast or slow shutter I can use that shutter and put in proper priority mode and see what camera suggests and use as a starting point.

If you liked the lens you used so much, why not purchase one? Sony GM lens in the focal length you used are a great choice. You could probably find what your looking for in the 4th row in the link below.

At $4k, I don't know that the Sony lens is 3 times better than the Sigma.

I have the Sigma Art 14-24 for my 6D. I love the quality and the versatility and ability to change my focal length, exp when shooting MW and can bring the MW closer and larger. I find it fast enough for MW and great for daylight landscape. IMHO it provides way more options to the photographer than a prime lens, unless you carry a whole range of lenses with you.

Why do you want to replace the 6D? What will you be using it for and what do you see yourself gaining with a replacement camera??

I use my Sigma Art 14-24 on a Canon 5D and love it for MW shots and it's tack sharp from corner to corner. Weighs a ton. Not sure how it would work on R6 but it's my go to lens for wide angle.

I mainly use my Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 art on a D850 for landscapes / cityscapes / seascapes. It has performed very well for me, but as others have mentioned, it is a bulky, heavy piece of glass with a protruding front lens, so you can't directly use filters. If you plan on hiking with it, you might want to consider the 12-24mm f/4 version.

Oh come now. It's like Wonder Bread if you hike with it - it builds strong bodies 12 ways.

Its sharper than the canon 16-35L. I love it. Tack sharp and versatile. Yeah, a little heavy. Great stars from corner to corner with beautiful color.
Have mime for 6D. Enjoy
